In my years of following LSU, it seems that whatever result is expected will not happen if it messes up the BCS/bowl pictures.

I had a very good week last week...5 of 6..the Hurricans let me down.

Some really good games this week:

Sooners beat the Longhorns
Stanford over ND
Bengals eat the Gamecocks
MSU over the Vols
Aggies win

Missouri covers the spread against Bama..

You know sometimes when you get a bad feeling about a game, even though you have no reason to really get that feeling...well that’s my feeling about Florida-Vandy.....I just have a weird feeling this game is going to be a lot tougher than people expect.

#5 WVU at Texas Tech. Last week 'Neers D made good adjustment at half time and actually improved as the second half wore on. Stopped two fourth down conversion attempts by the Horns which (to me) are the same as turnovers. Horns posed a problem or two for Gino, but still 0 picks in the last 258 consecutive attempts for Smith.

LET'S GO MOUNTAINEERS!!

LSU isn’t that good, Gamecocks should roll, in fact, I think right now they may very well be the best team in the country, I think they are just about level with Bama.

On Saturday, the Occidental College Tigers will be heading down to Orange to play Chapman University. After a slow start, the Tigers beat Claremont Men's College 34-21 last week at Jack Kemp Stadium, their home field, for their first win.

My awful Hogs beat Auburn last week. They’ll probably stink it up this week with KY visiting regardless of how bad the Cats are.

New Mexico beats Hawaii to go 4-3. Hiring Bob Davie was a stroke of genius. Davie has turned the culture around at New Mexico. What he has done with a team that is 15 scholarships short and has zero depth is amazing. There is hope in Lobo land once again!

Shepherd University (WV) is ranked 25th in the latest 2012 AFCA Division II Coaches’ Poll. 5-1 with their only loss to undefeated and 16th ranked Shippensburg (PA). GO RAMS!

Shippenburg is in the same league as Slippery Rock. Years ago, when the game announcer for USC games at the LA Memorial Coliseum announced the scores of games around the country, he would always announce the Slippery Rock score last--even if Slippery Rock won. For example, if Slippery Rock beat Shippenburg 24-14, he would announce Shippenburg's score first.

At the half

Texas Tech 35
WVU 7

Tech is all over my ‘Neers’ D...they’ve allowed 460 yds in the half.....ugh. No picks for Smith, but a couple of missed 4th down conversions.
Think it’s gonna be a quiet plane back to Charleston

I guarantee you that Bill Snyder and his staff are going to be all over the tapes from this game. Don’t expect an easy time of it next week when K-State comes to town.

Well welcome to the Big 12 anyway. You’re doing a lot better in your new conference than Mizzou is doing in their’s.

Next couple of years don’t look good for WVU. With Smith, Alston and Auston leaving, offense is gonna be aqn adventure. D......well, you see the d.
We had to do it up big this year...but hey, right now it’s only ONE game.
