Should break the sound barrier

Wings used to get ripped off planes when they did this; I wonder what will happen to him.

can he really survive?!

Possibly. Even probably.

On Aug.16, 1960, Joe Kittinger made a jump from 102,800 feet. Of course, Joe Kittinger was in the service, and his jump was not done for personal fame or glory, but for research (Project Excelsior).

He jumped from 18 miles in July; the old guy doing mission control set the previous record of 19 miles in 1963. I remember that jump and the news about it in the midst of the space program.

When he completes this, the info will be valuable to research involving space flights and emergency returns to earth.

Yes it is 5710 on my receiver. It is a channel I watch a lot as it shows a lot of automobile programs.

The channel simply says “Test”.

I have the most basic program on Dish and I have no premium channels.

I had a hard enough time from a Cessna 182, but nothing beats the experience.

A very high tech space suit and cabin pressure in his balloon allows for this.

He dumps pressure in capsule so he can open the module door, and his suit takes over life saving functions.

Blue skies, Felix. God bless you.

He is at this time above 79,000 feet, and has been rising for one hour and 24 minutes, expecting to be between 120,000 and 120,000 feet, I think.

The announcer on the Discovery channel is NBC’s Bob Hager, the aviation journalist. He does sound like Brett.

This is so much more cool than watching politics...I know Obama didn’t elevate that, and Obama won’t jump, either. Too bad.

I kinda wish they had a map showing the track of the balloon.
