It’s not the end of the world. We have experienced things like this before. Let’s not freak out about it.

I agree that we shouldn't freak out about this storm, but at the same time, the seriousness should also not be downplayed, such as you're continuing to do on this thread.

People are going to die, and there will be billions in property damage. There will be private horrors for some people, that decades won't wash away.

Those of us who are fortunate enough to be many states removed from this cataclysm should grant a little respect for those who about to endure a powerful, and possibly life changing event.

Sure, the media is going to wet their panties about this, but we all knew they would. That's hardly even worth mentioning in a place like this.
