Well ..once again the polls were fairly accurate

basically a tie in the final polls and it shows

Romney likely wins popular vote and Obama the EV...handily actually

I do get consolation over the popular vote

deprives him of mandate

get rid Boehner for God's sake and the fight goes on

but we are gonna have to really fight over the GOP...weak men

Obama will continue to screw up the country and our position in the world and maybe even some of the stupids will listen in 2-4 years

hopefully no SCOTUS folks die

but on Obamacare we lose...and that is worst part

I blame Northern White Liberals first and foremost

latinos second

single moms third

young people last...they are stupid anyhow for now

blacks have always been a lost cause and get less relevant with each decade

these Mexicans...this is where we have to peel them off the anti white reservation...not sure how

in 2010 whites voted 62% GOP

wonder what happened this time...the white vote is easiest mined but damn man...these northern liberals are just nutty by birth...I don't know how anyone lives up there

oh well...I too am surprised

i figured a dead heat was in our favor

Demography people.....I’ve said over & over you can’t have this level of massive immigration without it backfiring. And yes...too much LEGAL immigration. In any case there’s no going back.

I was wrong in hoping that Rasmussen was wrong, but sadly, he was not. His polls gave Romney a 45% chance of winning.

You were not wrong, you just underestimated the power of the democrat machine. They stole this election. More than likely thru the voting machines controlled by George Soros.

It just isn’t meant to be. I’m one who believed the American people wanted to rise above a subservience posture toward big government and embrace freedom.

Damn, was I wrong...

It’s just a different American landmass in which we live.

You and me both. I’ve been telling everyone, confidently, that this would be a R/R landslide. I’ve never been more wrong about a Presidential Election in my life. No more predicting for me...time for bullets & butter, I fear.

You know what HamiltonJay, you gave me hope in 2008 and you did it in 2012. I’m not discounting what a disaster another 4 years of Obammy is going to be, but there really are only two choices: you move forward (not Obama style over the cliff) or you end it all. Maybe tomorrow I’ll feel like ending it all, but tonight I want to move forward. Thanks for all you did in 2008 and 2012.

It’s frustrating, especially because it’s hard to imagine a Republican winning with an economic record like O’s—even if they could partially pawn it off on a predecessor. I think conservatives got caught up focusing on turnout projections and failed to acknowledge the shifting demographics Dems always crow about. Every year the country gets more Hispanic. Every year kids turn 18 holding more liberal social values, if not outright hostility to religion—often replaced by uncritical faith in environmentalism. I think just the plain fact the population is growing period favors the trend toward euro-socialism. These changes are less visible in non-Presidential elections because we can fight it with activist turn out but when it comes to the big show we just run out bodies. Add that to the fact Obama has a strong celeb appeal to low info voters, devoted protection from the bulk of the media, a popular ex-prez to help him campaign while we had to keep Bush in the shed, and a “just tax the rich more” message based on peddling government goodies to people who are less and less likely to concern themselves with how our nation will foot the bill, . Plus booting an incumbent is just hard. Clinton needed Perot’s interference to beat H.W. Bush.

However, don’t forget this thing was still pretty close. Numerous random variables played a role and could have turned it.

No poop. I read through the freeper prediction thread and very few predicted less than 300 EV. I knew that the facts only told us that Romney could squeak by or win somewhat assuredly, or Obama could squeak by. Nothing else was sure.

And I was annoyed because the very few who were unsure or predicted an Obama win were practically castrated for their “negativity.” Everyone did the same here for McCain. There is a difference between factual optimism and pooping rainbow skittles.

Ultimately there is a need for people to do what you and others did. Whether it happens to turn out to be right or not is another matter, but we need those who are willing to stand up and project confidence (backed up by reasonable arguments) that we can win this thing.

Elections often come down to who has more energy. And even though the polls were moving against us at the end, there was a legitimate feeling that our energy, which was helped along by you and others like you, would propel us to victory despite what the pundits were saying. Unfortunately the ground game on the other side really was as strong as they boasted. Of course they probably had to prod a large portion of their people to turn out, while ours were much more eager, but in the end it all counts the same.

Don’t beat yourself up, FRiend.

It is hard to understand why America would so enthusiastically embrace a total failure of a President. I don’t think any of us expected the D turnout to be as great as it was, but the people have spoken.

The country is in for tough times. I am proud to be fighting shoulder to shoulder with you in the battle.

We will survive and prosper despite the hateful little man in the White House.

Ironically, the people who knew that Romney didn’t have the stones to win were flamed for speaking the truth.

Don’t feel bad because you have company. After four years I didn’t think Americans would be that stupid again.

“So flame away. I was wrong, horribly so, so go ahead and take your shots.”

I had seen your earlier posts and observed [what I thought to be at the time] your “irrational exuberance”... :)

But I’m not going to flame you. You made the same mistake as many MANY other members of this forum.

As conservatives, we like to think of ourselves as wiser than the left, but all too often we embrace precepts that are as irrational as theirs, and miss what’s in front of our own eyes.

So, in the spirit of consolation, I’d like to offer you what has become the core of my own personal conservatism:
“Reality is what it is. It is not what we believe it to be.”

Just some words. Maybe don’t mean nuthin’.
But I told you that to tell you this:

Very early in my career as a railroad locomotive engineer, the old timers would tell me something:
“Kid, you got to run the train. You can’t let the train run you....”
Again, just seemed like a play on words — didn’t mean nuthin’.

It took me YEARS and YEARS to realize what they were talking about. Now I know.

So go forth, learn this word-for-word, and every so once in a while, just repeat it to yourself:
“Reality is what it is. It is not what we believe it to be.”

Best regards!

Republicans failed to admit and account for voter fraud. Illegals turned out for Obama, big time. Also we had machines changing votes from Romney to Obama in battleground states and dems. in voting multiple times and openly braging about it in social media. We had communists kicking Republican voting observers out in Penn. so they could cheat. What we saw was just the tip of the iceberg.

The GOP likes to pretend voter fraud does not matter just like they pretend liberal racism and public school and university brainwashing does not matter. It’s a huge factor in the communist power structure. The GOP never acknowledged it, challenged it and therefore has not accounted for it.
