I appreciate your well-thought out analysis. I hope you’re right. At some point, I couldn’t take the election coverage anymore and put on a taped ‘Touched by an Angel” and when my husband switched to CNN, I started crying when I saw the results.
There was an earlier poster who mentioned the possibility of a Palin-West ticket in 2016. I dearly hope that is the case. I voted for Sarah—not McCain—in the last election.
Romney, for all his faults, did his best—but the “hopey changey thing” is apparently working for too many Americans with their free government cell phones, etc. And who knows what was going on behind the scenes (fraud, etc.)
It is a dark day in America. I really did not believe this would happen, given the state of the economy.

The RATS played dirty.
You can’t fight dirty with nice.
Until the GOP figures out how to:
1) Nominate real conservatives
2) Get down in the muck with the RATS and use every tactic (rhetorical or otherwise) available
they/we will continue to lose.
Look at how the RATS poisoned peoples’ minds against “the rich.” The GOP could have countered with a under the radar campaign against “the takers/moochers/looters.” It would work; you know it would. But, they don’t want to soil their hands.

It does not matter if Romney was conservative or not any longer. He was perceived as conservative. I was already hearing the GOP Elites on FOX tonight saying, “This is what happens when the GOP nominates a conservative.” This is also why I believed we had lost as soon as Romney got the nod. He did not contrast well enough with the Left when people looked at his record.
Planning for the future should wait until emotion dies a bit. Emotion precludes Reason. If the House bends over as expected, all the planning in the world will not turn things around for a long time.

Stock market crashed... dollar devalued... USA Bond rating of B... surrender to mexico and iran and the abandonment of Israel... and the war on whites... yes I said it... the war on whites. Listen to what bob beckel said about their plans for us on Fox tonight. These people intend to destroy us along with America. I do not see how they can be stopped. The political solution is no longer viable... we lost our last election tonight carville was finally right... except there will be nothing left in 40 years.

We must now focus on survival. We must clan up. Get together with like-minded family members to create a support system. Do not depend on government for anything.
Distance yourself from untrustworthy liberal family members, i.e., potential informants.
Develop skills that can be used in the “cash only” economy.

2010 was what it was. But today 2010 means jack without a follow-up. Did the Tea Party fail? Hell, no! Unless I see some very convincing numbers to the contrary. We turned out strong today. What was stronger, unfortunately, was the additional class of government-dependent voters Obama managed to create in the last four years. The demographic is growing faster than we are.
