I'm stepping out of the circular firing squad... (vanity)
Me

Posted on 11/07/2012 12:46:11 AM PST by MacMattico

You know what? We lost the Presidency by 1% and the Senate by a little more. Allen West and Mia Love lost, but I'm not going to be part of the "blame Mitt" crowd that two days ago thought he was great. And if you couldn't vote for the "moderate Mormon" then pat yourself on the back-- you didn't vote for the loser. But you helped the communist thug to stay in charge and run wild.

With that said, we need to stop blaming each other and separating our party and unite against the true villains-- a viscous, lying Chicago thug machine that painted it's opponent as a killer of women who cares about no one, we need to tell Bill Clinton to shut the hell up and WE should have called him out when he was Obozo's outreach to the women's vote. Of course he's all for free birth control, the rapist! We need to blame the media-- how can you win with 24/7 news coverage painting your candidates as psychos? When your opponent promises most of the electorate free stuff? It's time to get up, dust ourselves off, and fight back. Reach out to legal Latinos and blacks and show them what real conservatism is-- they have no idea, they've been fed lies their whole life. Organize our youth -- there are many proud, smart, young conservatives out there. We need to rebuild a conservative movement, but not at the cost of picking each other off one by one. We'll just lose by more next time.

I guess I've calmed down a little. I am so disappointed in the American people. I really think most have just been dumbed down so much. We need to build people up without Government, educate them on economics and freedom, and the logical conclusion is a conservative majority will emerge. The fact that the election was this close when is was R vs D, the msm, outright lies, fraud and stupidity tells me we have a chance for the future if we can hold on for these next four years, and get out guys into the Senate come mid-terms. We need superior organization, ground game and to stand up for what we believe in -- no more wishey--washey crap. Let's roll!

There is nothing left to do, it is over.

The Democrats have rebuilt their New Deal coalition and it will take at least another decade to crack it.

Now we can get back to the hard work of reaching across the aisle to help the libs raise taxes and banish freedom.

Aren’t we all happy? :)

agreed; I’m sick and tired of working for, donating to, and voting for a party that cannot field a candidate that has the intestinal fortitude to stand up for something. Mitt had a hundred chances to body slam the commie thug, and chose not to. I’m writing him for a refund.

Until you attack the root of the failure, the GOP-e, you will be "coming together" behind another RINO in 2016, holding your nose and pulling the level again.

Ready for that? If not, then don't "come together". Force the GOP to go Conservative or leave it. No more lesser of two evils. I mean LEAVE IT.

If there is no Conservative on the ballot, don't vote that line. Period.

What we need is first to stop with the whole ‘consensus candidate’ crap the RINOs keep diving us into. We need to knock those RINOs out of the party leadership, and re-order the primary process to favor a path that rewards conservatives and weeds out the liberals.

Second, we actually need the House to stop shooting this nation in the back of the head. No dollar gets spent in Washington without the approval of the House, and they are the ones operating without a budget, and giving signed blank trillion dollar checks to the president.

Finally, we have to end the fricking gravy train of public service. No more six figure retirements, no more benefits to anyone elected or appointed to their position, and especially, no retirement benefits for someone who can be voted out of office, or dismissed when a new politician steps in.

It is our own party who continues to sabotage each election and the economy, and we must put a stop to it.

I’m not even blaming Obama, he just who he is.

It is the American people.
The tipping point has arrived. We had a good enough candidate. The issues that he we lost on are as follows.

30 year or more of the government teacher’s union brainwashing our children who are now voting.
47 million people on food stamps and other things that want to vote a government party in that gives them more of this stuff.
Lucrative government union jobs that have grown by leaps and bounds to the point of 1-9 working for the government now. They and people they know are going to vote for the government party.
Females who want social safety nets for everything under the sun.

You add it up and IMO even Ronald Reagan would have had a tough time winning. He couldn’t even get elected governor now in California.

Our electorate has changed.
IMO we are now going to accelerate the national crash, but people are going to want to take all the way down to the crash and burn.

Will they learn, will their pride ever let them admit mistakes? I doubt it.

I’m not shooting anyone or myself in any circle, but IMO we are watching the end of what was America the way Rome once was watching their own decline. We are fading, and being unable to remove a very bad President who has done bad things because he gives so many people stuff is the sign of our downfall.

Don’t tell it to conservatives. Tell that to the RINO’s who are even now braying that it was Limbaugh, right wing bible thumpers and who knows what else, that cost the election.

We gave their candidate a shot, again, with the worst President in American history and he managed to lose.

Now watch as RINO’s bow down to the Obama agenda... I’m sorry they already did that when Beohner said Obamacare would be funded.

‘settled law’ ya know?

We can start by not going to Massachusetts for the most liberal republican presidential candidates in history.

“I think Bill Weld comes as close as anyone,” Romney said when asked whom in his party he aligned with.

“I was an independent during the time of Reagan-Bush. I’m not trying to return to Reagan-Bush,”

“I’m not a partisan politician. My hope is that, after this election, it will be the moderates of both parties who will control the Senate, not the Jesse Helmses.”

Nice post, but good luck. When Obama nominates some ACLU red diaper doper baby to SCOTUS we will have plenty of FReepers here to tell us that Romney would have nominated someone worse.

Sorry, I know you are extending the olive branch here, but we are deeply divided against the wall of reality. To capture the Latino vote the GOP can’t be seen as anti-immigrant so if they oppose immigration reform they may lose any chance of gaining the White House. If the GOP supports immigration reform to try and peel off some Hispanics they lose part of the base who then vents about it further cementing Hispanics and democrats together.

Political correctness, the rule of law, political dogma, and irrefutable math for future elections all collide and it will be impossible for the GOP to juggle this mess to the satisfaction of the base.

Same thing with entitlement reform.... people who talk about cutting your benefits are never going to be popular with you. The democrats promise to increase entitlements so they are the party of “yes” and the GOP is the party of “no.” This is bad retail politics. Just read a thread on social security here on FR... it is a 3rd rail of politics for a reason, but without addressing all entitlements we will go bankrupt.

The Tea Party can sweep off-year elections, but we just learned today that while they are influential, they are not decisive in Presidential elections.

I wish I had the answer. I do know this... we could elect the most conservative candidate in the world and he/she could implement all the cuts and fiscal austerity measures to balance our budget and the GOP would get clobbered in the mid-terms and lose in the following election to the same type of socialist that France just elected for the same reason. That my FRiend, is why our republic is doomed.

Not massive fraud, it was a bought and paid for electorate through the give-aways of a government party.

And when the nation crashes, all that could be left is one government party. So rather than ever let the USA be a heavenly place, they are quite happy to let it all go to hell as long as they are ruling in hell.

Nope, we failed for the same reason that the North didn’t knock the South out of the war early on.

“probably Reagan could have lost tonight”

It was also a huge mistake to not have Sarah Palin speak at the RNC. The only true conservatives they had were Santorum and Mia Love (I may be mistaken on this and someone correct me if I am).

They also pulled a trick about seating the delegates themselves, which angered the Paulbots. Heck, maybe they voted for zero for revenge.

Mitt was also one of the first ones to decry Todd Akin and say he should resign. In that case, I have to agree with zero - he fired before he aimed. He should have kept his mouth shut.

All the little red flags were there that he didn’t embrace the conservatives. He refused to go on any conservative talk shows, other than Sean Hannity and that was during the primaries. I think he distanced himself from the tea party, and it cost him dearly.

Who knows? Maybe this will somehow work out. I don’t feel that right now, but I want to put on a smiley face right now.

Agreed. From the judges, to not allowing the military votes, to 1000s of multiples votes in high electoral states, to voting machines malfunctioning. Also, the media coverups, the lies about numbers all the way along.

I think in actuality Mitt won. We will never know. I expect there to be no one to check and no one to enforce laws much longer. I cannot sleep for thinking about this.

Reagan couldn’t even get elected these days to his old Gov job in California.

That isn’t an insult to Reagan, it is just how bad those voting are today and IMO you vastly under estimate the power of the government party giving away the treasury through government employment or the dole to tens of millions of people.

I am a realist. Just the facts. I am not blind to what I see has unfolded before me during my last five decades I’ve been voting through (thank you very much)

So much has changed and we also have the wave of people from the south that all also believe in a government party.

Sucks, but it is what it is.

I'm with you, but if conservatives push the GOP totally away we fragment our vote and instead of Obama we get Stalin next time, not that there would be much difference. I know of no Republicans that would have a problem voting for a reasoned, logical, charismatic conservative (think Reagan) but putting up below par conservative candidates like the ones making stupid rape remarks, Sharon Angle and the “I am not a witch” chick did nothing for conservative outreach or to help us take the senate. Allen West may have lost his gerrymandered district, but he is the type of candidate that conservatives need to bring forward and support, and I think Republicans would also love someone like that. We need outreach and education of the conservative cause, grassroots, because our kids and others aren't getting it from anywhere else.

And you all forget all the immigrants the democrats have let in. If you add up all the foreign immigrants, Hispanics and blacks you get almost 30% of the population who votes close to 90% for democrats/socialism/tyranny no matter that there is high unemployment nothing matters to blacks for example as they vote for democrats over 90% even though unemployment is high among blacks. so there is a war we real Americans vs these 30% (immigrants etc) and the democrat/liberal traitors and then you have the media so you we what we are up against. There is a war us real Americans vs a foreign invasion aided by traitor liberals/democrats. It's not our fault we fight but are out numbered but we have to find a way to win.

you left out racial demographics and I ain’t buying that bullshit anymore

it is precisely the big part of the issue

every damned minority except Cubans vote either anti white or anti Christian

it is just how it is...you dress it up how you like

we let it happen

cause folks were scared to be called bigot or racist

and some still are apparently

all of this crap was northern liberal whites who have infected VA and NC and FL

blacks...97%

Jews...only down 4 points but aside from media and Hollywood they are irrelevant vote wise

oh yes...Catholics too...51% even though Obama pissed on their boots for 4 years

yes...latinos...5% more this time

yes...Orientals....way more this time...9% I think...what pricks...why are they oppressed...I don’t know any poor ones

what is happening is we are becoming a non white and non Christian nation and the interlopers have grievances that we have indulged and they vote against us as a rule...and they have the numbers now due to numbnuts white women in mandals up north

Dixie whites, Pioneer West and Indiana are simply not enough

I do not think a more conservative would have done better

GOP turnout was up around 5-6 points

Our nation is being taken from us because weak people were afraid to address a clear and present danger because of the color of that danger

and now those same folks will claim we must become more brown to win...and to do that...we go left...there is no question

these non white immigrants are not some sepia ancestry.com commerical...they want to get paid and after 20 years even a majority are on govt assiatance...forget illegals which is likely worse

yes...single stupid moms raising fatherless kids are alos a big dependency bloc...great

only bright side is young whites under 30 actually voted 51% Romney...that surprised me

I want you folks to understand that down South here in my county where we voted 74% for Romney and my homestate that voted 87% that we don;t have riff raff whites like ya’ll do

we know what is at stake...cause we live it every day surrounded by that 97% Dem voting Amish community and know what it feels like when they rule the chicken roost

out of the 2-300 people in my social circle I know maybe 5 that would admit voting Obama

all you white freepers out there in Blue States looking down yer noses at us and calling us bigots

you need yer own come to Jesus meeting and figure out what time it is

it is the accomodating and excusing and self flagellating crap you have indulged in for decades that has brought us here

this damned fear to confront anything minority has paralyzed our ability to fight Islam, illegitimacy, urban crime, voter fraud, welfare ...everything

what a bitch

soft people some of ya’ll are and one day a price gonna be paid..likely by my kids..Southern stock

for your weakness

I have seen this here for 12 years...never knew conservatives could be so weak and self condemning

I am sick of it...if I see another Rubio/West 2016 banner I will shoot my fancy monitor

Rubio is as white as I am to these non white latinos from the Sonora or Dominican Republic you damned fools

are you so daft?

no wonder we lose...

I don’t feel the need to educate any of these pigs that voted for Obama. You can’t fix stupid. They have had every chance to education, freebies and all of the perps this country can hand out to people.

You have a large minority that votes with their skin color, you have another that wants nothing more than amnesty for illeal aliens and a free pass on their own illegal status in this country. You have women voting with their girl parts and another group that sees their entire existence contingent on their sexual orientation.

The worse part is the monster sized group that wants your personal wealth so that they never have to work a day in their life. Just too many takers that are contributing nothing to society except their existence.

Now, I would say that we have a real big problem. Obama is a symptom. It is the people of this country that are the problem. Half of this country is perverse, lazy, deviant, criminal and socialist.

I don’t think I feel like rallying the troops or saving the sinkers. And, I don’t blame Romney. He and Ryan did a lot better than I thought they would. The odds were against them.

I hate this is happening to the greatest country in history. A lot of people have given so much for the freedoms we are losing so rapidly. I am sick that the pigs don’t even know or care who those American heroes are nor do they care.

He fought harder than McCain. The racists attacks on his skincolor, religion, can’t over come msm complicity which most American libs get news at msnbc, daily show, or worse, none at all. The liberal agenda has spent decades getting their ducks all lined up. Public Schools. Judges, Secretary of States (ignoring of voter fraud), etc. They had the patience to lay in wait for 40 years for the “perfect storm”. And we got Barry in 2008. Once good thing, he wont’ be living in the expensive mansion they bought for him in Hawaii. But party boy does have an all expense paid jet as his disposal. early on, beltways too afraid to attack due to msm racist card screech.Lower the bar and let a man in who had no requirements or experiences for President. Mainly voted in to be cool, be have a black president. Since Hillary didn’t quit as she should have for Benghazi, at least in protest, I can’t imagine she’d pop up in 2016 if there is one.

How would you suggest the GOP get blacks , hispanics and foreign immigrants, offer bigger gov and bigger handouts than democrats. that is the only way to go left of the democrats. A “conservative” party to right of what Romney ran certainly won't get them. but even if the GOP goes to the left of the democrats the foreigners blacks hispanics won't go for the GOP.
