I’m ashamed of my country!
Vanity | 7 November 2012 | areukiddingme1

For the first time in my adult life I am ashamed of my country – Last night on display for the entire world to see, half of the nation elected the “king of the takers.”

Makers, be on notice!

So what does this mean going forward for America? No one can argue that it does not mean; 1) Higher taxes, 2) Increased debt, 3) Attacks on the 2nd amendment and 4) Weaker US power projection around the world.

The grown-ups simply didn’t outnumber the children last night and the children threw a temper tantrum and got their way – Let’s see how bad it is when it is time for them to pay taxes.

For those of us still alive in 20 years, we must remind these spoiled children that they voted for “redistribution of wealth” and when they are only seeing 50% of their take home pay, they will only have themselves to blame.

I am so thoroughly disgusted with this country this morning.

“The democracy will cease to exist when you take away from those who are willing to work and give to those who would not.” ~ Unknown

“A wise and frugal Government, which shall restrain men from injuring one another, which shall leave them otherwise free to regulate their own pursuits of industry and improvement, and shall not take from the mouth of labor the bread it has earned. This is the sum of good government, and this is necessary to close the circle of our felicities.” ~ Thomas Jefferson

Anyone who voted democrat is no countryman of mine.

They are willful traitors or stupid animals.

There are 2 Americas.

Last night defined who I’ll be going forward. My vote was outnumbered by an ill-informed voter. I shall NEVER again waste my time and vote. We are outnumbered...we have made the ‘turn’ and there is no going back. Minorities are breeding at an alarming rate...we can never outnumber the left. I am officially tuning out...no pride in America...it’s gone.

Don't be so critical of America. It is not Her fault it is our fault..

I remember.

The 1960s Marxist-Alinsky campus radical, psycho spoiled brats were celebrated in the establishment MSM as the most intelligent generation ever!. They are now arguably that very establishment that praised them and they hold themselves and their ideological issue in even higher regard.

They hijacked the now defunct Democratic Party in the 1970s. The fault is ours. Abe will explain from "the other side."

You initiated a policy to tolerate the Marxist-Alinsky radicals and let them rant; not only has it not ceased but was constantly augmented by decades of infiltration and indoctrination. You now have two Americas. In my opinion, it will not cease until a crisis shall have been reached and passed. "A house divided against itself cannot stand." I believe this government cannot endure, permanently, half statist and half free; I do not expect the house to fall; but I do expect it will cease to be divided. It will become all one thing, or all the other.

You sound like Manchelle now.

I realize you’re disappointed, but you don’t have to be ashamed of our country.

And let’s stop calling everyone who get government assistance “takers”. What’s the GOP know about these people who live in the inner cities and our barrios? Virtually nothing. How many Romney campaign offices were there? Virtually none. What’s the Republican platform for them? Nada.

A lot of people went to the polls in 2008 and did not vote for a presidential candidate, 5.7 million actually (obama beat mccain by 7.4 million). I wonder how many people did the same this year? How is the GOP reaching out to Democratic voters and these voters who have given up? It’s not.

Be ashamed of the GOP but not our country. The GOP gave up on a changing America, settling instead on a stale repeat of a tired old platform.

I’m proud of my country. Proud that it changing, that a new generation and demographic is rising up and being heard. I just wish my party would listen, because I don’t like giving it all to the Dems.

My son had dreams of becoming a Navy Seal, not that he talked much about it, as he is the strong, silent type as much as one can be at almost 16.

This morning I told him to forget about that path as long as 0bama is CinC. I refuse to sacrifice him for that bastard! 0bama does not love this country and I guess half the people don’t love America either. No way, no how the armed forces. To defend, what?!

The danger to America is not Barack Obama but a citizenry capable of entrusting a man like him with the presidency. It will be easier to limit and undo the follies of an Obama presidency than to restore the necessary common sense and good judgment to an electorate willing to have such a man for their president. The problem is much deeper and far more serious than Mr. Obama, who is a mere symptom of what ails us. Blaming the prince of the fools should not blind anyone to the vast confederacy of fools that made him their prince. The Republic can survive a Barack Obama. It is less likely to survive a multitude of fools such as those who made him their president.”

Translated into English from an article appearing in the Czech Republic as published in the Prager Zeitung of 28 April 2010

Pretty much sums it up...:-(

Since Romney received fewer votes than the much hated McCain, especially in key states, then I can only conclude that it was conservatives and republicans that re-elected Obama by sitting it out.

America didn't do it. We did it to ourselves.

I was filling up my tank last night, and some 20-something looking kid came up to me and said he lost his wallet, could I give him some money. I asked him who he voted for. He looked puzzled, but said Obama. I told him wrong answer, and to go bother someone else.

This morning I realized for the first time that this America is not the one I grew up in and loved. Women voted obama because of contraceptives and choice to kill their babies, unions voted because of their precious auto bail out, blacks voted because of the obvious, everyone voted selvishly and ignorantly not for what was good for America as a whole. Liberals play the fools like a fiddle. A decent, educated, capable, moral man was defeated by buffoons last night and we ALL will have to suffer for their stupidity. He has already set up Congress to blame last night in his victory speech when he said he would work across the isle. Now, every time Congress objects he has them to blame. What kind of morons could have put this loser back in office. I am astounded. But, of course, that is my venting and my opinion, of course.

sadly, this president and his administration have shown they will not support the American military either at home (the Ft Hood “workplace violence”) or abroad (Benghazi).

And, at the other end of the spectrum, the retirees and vets who will quickly see massive changes to their healthcare benefits (first), then their retirement/benefit checks (consecutively w/ the first), and then fewer commissaries, BXs, etc. as the military continues to shrink to a trickle of strength. Add to that the weakening of the military thru the social policies being enforced, and it is not an optimistic future.

Our banker/enemy,China and our “frenemy”, Russia, along with our real enemies (radical Islamists and Iran) are circling like vultures. Don’t expect them to stay at bay either—the country just re-elected the president most likely to help China/Russia/the others succeed. (Along with the folks who voted for O again!)

We are a nation gone under, and Lady Liberty is crying her heart out...

Don’t worry, under Obama a Navy Seal will be an exhibit at the San Diego zoo.
