Republican strategist Karl Rove's very bad night

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - As television networks began declaring that President Barack Obama had won re-election, the most captivating televised drama Tuesday evening played out on Fox News, where Republican strategist Karl Rove refused to believe the race between Obama and Mitt Romney was over.

I’m with you. Why do we need pollsters and experts at election time anyway? Answer: we don’t. The problem is that 24 hour news organizations need to fill the time with something so they paraded Rove and Morris and others before us in hopes to impress us with all their brilliantness. Like you, I am done with Fox news. All the news I need can be found in my local news hour. When/if I feel I need to be informed about something I will do my homework, till then I am done with politics.

Exactly right. Let’s remember: HIS former boss was STILL being blamed for this economic disaster we’re facing today. I’m so sick of this clown being labeled The Architect - as if he was some kind of genius. For such a genius, evidently Karl didn’t understand the basic Stalinist principle that “A lie told often enough becomes the truth”.

Rove is way overrated. A second rate hack. He barely won the 2000 election and if it wasn’t for the swift boaters, would have lost the reelection in 2004 also. He also presided over the catastrophic loss in Congress in 2006 and the debacle we are still dealing with named Barry.

I agree with Rove. There was something fishy about the numbers. He just said Fox was calling the states prematurely with too many Republican votes still out. I have seen people here saying the same thing. I don’t see what was so wrong with what he said. The media is just making a big issue out of it as usual. I wish people wouldn’t fall for it.

He was shocked because he and other insiders thought they could shove a Massuchusetts Liberal on their voters and they’d still turn out. Their models were based on assumptions everyone that voted McCain and maybe slightly more turn out for Romney. He thought Romney would win because he thought those same voters were still going to suck it up and turn out indefinitely. The insiders got a nasty surprise. McCain was bad, Romney was worse. If the totals are indeed below 2008 they have no one but themselves to blame. Them and the primary voters who were convinced that man was “electable”.

I don’t think the criticism is about his prediction, it’s about his practice. He raised tons of money, and barely any of his candidates won. Etc. Rove hates conservatives and thinks all non-atheists are total morons.

Michael Barone was way wrong.

And his record is the best there is.

Steve Forbes claims to have broken a 56-year streak in correctly calling presidential elections when he predicted it would be 321 to 217 in Romney's favor.

I think this was the worst. He came out and said it was going to be a landslide for Romney, and it was anything but, and a loss no less.

If A, then no further analysis is required. Changing demographics and people staying home doesn’t matter if the ballot boxes are being stuffed. Either stop the cheating or be the ones counting the votes.

If B, then the Republicans have to get smarter.

I don’t care where this news story was pulled from. All I know is I’m sick to death of experts and pollsters. I would never answer a pollster, on anything. My views are none of their damn business.

So what you are saying is that 57 million plus Republican's voted for Romney but just 3 million decided Romney was too liberal and found it better to not vote and let a known radical Marxist stay in office.

I would like to remind those that stayed home because Romney wasn't good enough that the man they helped reelect sat back and did nothing while our American soldiers and our ambassador were murdered.

Do you think the liberal Mitt Romney would have gave the order to stand down then turn around a leave for a campaign trip leaving Americans to be murdered? Then go on a two week tour of the US lying to the faces of the American people?

Do you think liberal Romney hates the 2nd amendment enough to provide thousands of guns to drug dealing murderers for the sole purpose of undermining the United Statses Constitution? At least 2 American's and hundreds of innocent Mexican citizens payed with their lives for this act of treason.

I hope those that stayed home are comfortable with this evil man at the helm of what's left of our nuclear arsenal cause he has a lot of "flexibility" now.
