Uncircumcised boys and men may face more UTIs
Reuters Health ^ | Fri Dec 7, 2012 5:15pm GMT | Trevor Stokes

Infections of the kidney, bladder and urethra happen in uncircumcised baby boys at ten times the rate of circumcised boys, and over a lifetime, uncircumcised men are four times more likely to experience one, according to a new analysis of past research.

Urinary tract infections (UTIs) are most common in boys’ first year of life, and circumcision was already known to make a difference in their risk, but how much and whether that carried through to adulthood was unclear, Australian researchers say.

They found that circumcision “provides considerable protection and over the lifespan makes about a three- to four-fold difference by our prediction, which is quite striking in public health terms,” lead study author Brian Morris, professor of molecular medical science at the Sydney Medical School, University of Sydney, told Reuters Health. …

If you have antipathy towards what you call “religious superstition”, why did you come to a conservative website?

Talk about side effects!

After I was circumcised I couldn’t walk and when I tried to talk all I could do was babble incoherently.

This went on for nearly two years after the procedure!

Cut men have no idea of the loss of pleasure due to the loss of sensory feedback...

It's a brutal operation!

I couldn't walk for most of a year afterwards!

Some baby boys aren't getting cleaned up properly before the new diaper goes on. Teach their mothers how to clean them, teach them hygiene when they get a little older.

And girls, front to back, no second pass.

Actually, circumcision caught on in America after large numbers of soldiers required field circumcisions during World War One. Trench warfare caused a great deal of infections due to poor hygienic conditions in the trenches and long recovery periods and even some deaths. Ouch! Constant moisture made infections almost inevitable. As a matter of national security the War Department encouraged circumcision to avoid large numbers of soldiers off the front lines due to recovery from circumcisions after incurable infections obtained while deployed on the front lines in future wars. Doctors came home from the war and routinely performed circumcisions after 1920 or so. All men in my family born before 1918 were not circumcised; All men born after 1920 or so are. I learned this on the history channel and from several books on World War I.

Also circumcised men are not longer (wink, wink) but actually seem to "perform" longer than uncircumcised men much to women's "satisfaction". Less wham, bam thank you mam if you know what I mean. (LOL). Its all in the "continued" motion! At least that is what I've been told. (LOL) You don't ever want to hear the words, "Put down the cigarette and stop talking! Your not done yet!" Not that there is anything wrong with that! (Wink, wink) I can be reached at 1 888 867-5309. (LOL) A gentlemen always finishes what he starts!

Ahhh, can’t summon up an argument about circumcision so you make it about religion? Circumcision is religious in nature and nothing else except for the bucks that docs get for doing it. As for being conservative, one doesn’t have to be religious to be conservative, this is a common conservative misconception. As for me, I believe in God, I don’t necessarily believe in all the aspects humans add to religion, Christian or otherwise.

Oh, really. Let me explain something to you, something you and all the idiots who claim women prefer cut men to uncut. When a man has an erection, and uncut man, his penis swells and stretches the skin pulls back and at full erection the woman cannot tell the uncut from the cut, they are identical in appearence, so, prey tell, why would they have a preference? As for women being gracious I have yet to meet a woman, American or otherwise, who is so gracious they come back for more sex with someone they don't want to have sex with.

Here's my opinion, if a grown man wants to be cut, that is his business, however he should make his decision based on what he wants not on a bunch of frickin' lies made up by people with an agenda. Two, if, as some people claim, it is the parent's rights to circumcise their male children do the muslims have the same right to circumcise their female children, slicing off their labia and clitoris? There is no difference, a child is being mutilated in the name of religion either way and both circumcisions are wrong to do to a child.

There might even be some connection between sexually unsatisfied males (due to diminished pleasure from the amputation of the sensitive foreskin) and tendency to be polygamous / fornicative - quantity over quality, and all that.

I understand it's been possibly linked to presbyopia also. /s.

Reduced pleasure? One could say that's a good thing. Imagine all the women complaining because their partner is finished when they are just getting started.

A man standing at the urinal turned to the man on his left and asked “Your Rabbi is Rabbi Cohen right?” “Yes, how did you know” he replied. “Because he cuts on the bias, and you are peeing on my leg”.

Well, I shudder to think what they'll recommend for women in combat, then. Sew everything shut like Muslims do, I guess?

LOL, so?

Are you telling me that the tradition of a mohel sucking blood of a freshly mutilated penis is myth? I can post articles on the topic, and how it lead to the death of at least one infant recently ,if you want.

If you think I should bow down to some “cultural” traditions because they are beyond reproach in your fantasy imagination / adopted mythology, keep dreaming.

Newborn dies after reportedly contracting herpes from controversial circumcision ritual

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2855490/posts

March 5, 2012

Fox News

A two-week-old infant died at a Brooklyn hospital in September after contracting herpes through a controversial religious circumcision ritual, the New York Daily News reported.

As part of the ultra-orthodox Jewish circumcision ritual—known as metzitzah b’peh—the rabbi or mohel removes blood from the wound with his mouth.

The brit milah (pronounced bris), otherwise known as circumcision, is a rite of passage in the Jewish faith, though different groups follow different sets of procedures. The Rabbinical Council of America endorses the practice of using a sterile glass tube between the mohel’s mouth and the baby’s wound for the more orthodox metzitzah b’peh procedure. For less conservative Jews, the baby’s skin only comes into contact with surgical tools.
