We call his type "soccer mom preppers."
I like his shovel though. He is an idea man evidently. And I give him points for his bug-out local and his determination to prepare his family. I would not have gone on that show though.

That’s what amazes me - some of these people have great preps and ideas and seem pretty smart - but zero Op-Sec sense at all. Amazing.
