Russian PM not joking – extraterrestrials live among us according to MIB documentary

Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev’s off-air comments that Russian Presidents are given a secret file about extraterrestrials living among us created much media interest. Most news reports claimed that Medvedev was simply joking. His apparent reference to the Men In Black movie as a source of information on a super secret agency that monitors extraterrestrials on Earth was commonly cited as key evidence that he was in fact joking. The reasoning is that no political leader would refer reporters to a comedy to clarify national policy. It has now emerged that Medvedev was not referring to the Men in Black comedy after all, but to a recent Russian television documentary titled “Men in Black” that reveals many details about an extensive cover up of extraterrestrial life visiting Earth.

However, a more accurate translation of what Medvedev actually said about the Men in Black phenomenon was: “You can receive more detailed information having watched the documentary film of the same name.” So Medvedev was referring to a Russian “documentary film” titled Men in Black, not the Hollywood blockbuster by the same name...

Russian Men In Black (MIB) documentary, a number of prominent UFO cases in Russia and the USA are discussed. The Roswell UFO crash is covered, along with a number of extraterrestrial abduction cases, and UFOs disabling nuclear weapons facilities. The documentary examines testimony that extraterrestrial bases have been established on Earth, and that some are in restricted US military areas with the full knowledge of the Pentagon. The documentary even goes on to seriously discuss President Eisenhower’s alleged meeting with extraterrestrials, where agreements were reached with some of the visitors giving them permission to take some of the Earth’s resources in exchange for advanced technology...

Does Elen perchance play the ululele?

No, but she can emit a hell of a shriek if she feels like it. She can strum the ukulele a bit: she's been playing Pat's original mini-uke, now that he has his full-size concert version.

After dropping Sally off, we went to Kohl's, where DP bought a dress shirt. They have a good price on baby clothes, but I don't want to get spring clothes for Kathleen until we see whether she decides to walk: you don't want a crawler in a dress! Then we went to Target, where I bought two pairs of pants for Frank (3.50 each), but I'll have to order underwear from Hanes.com because everything in the stores is too big. At GNC, I found kelp capsules.

Then we went to "Miro' Spanish Grille," to which we have been 3 or 4 times in the past. We arrived just after they opened at 5:00, so had the whole place to ourselves for a while, and it was very nice. We had a tapas plate with 7 or 8 different items. DP ate the calamari, I ate the fried plantain. Then he had a grilled red snapper with shrimp and vegetables, and I had a spiced pork dish with black beans, rice, and more plantain. Sort of Caribbean, but not as strongly flavored as Cuban: I put about 18 ingredients in my Cuban bean dish! I couldn't eat all the pork. I'm sure Bill, who has just arrived from the evening out with his band, will enjoy it.

Then we had tres-leches cake, with a sauce that I'm sure featured heavy cream, but what the heck. You're only married 24 years once (at least, we are, only once) and I'd been through five birthdays in the last two months without a bite of cake. And DP had coffee and I had another glass of Argentinian chardonnay.

There was a couple at the next table whom we know by sight from church, with a boy about 1-1/2. He was pretty good, and we hardly care unless it's one of our children misbehaving, but at one point, he took the LED faux-tealight from the candleholder and put it in his mouth. I thought his mom would die! Kathleen would have done that, too, but she was safely at home ;-).

Very nice evening, and we didn't talk about Scouting at all, and nothing went wrong at home. The kids were all askew and akimbo all over the living room, watching "Phineous and Ferb," when we walked in shortly after 7:00.

I’m a very loyal person ... also organized, punctual, thrifty, and clean!

Getting on time to sleep here. Tomorrow some people, but not me, will go out in the cold to collect donations for Scouting For Food. And the last I heard, Tom and Elen are still going to a bonfire in the evening. I suppose Bill can stay out late if he’ll bring them home.

Bryan is a movie and music geek. He really enjoys listening to music, watching Netflix or purchased movies and TV shows, and fine-tuning the system.

He does his homework, and he really knows how to keep it all together.

All I do is pick out some of the movies, watch, and listen.

However, he is always amenable to listening to advice from other people, so everything is all right, my friend.

You’re welcome. He was a gorgeous cat, and very sweet. He never scratched or bit anyone on purpose
in his life. If someone was trimming his claws, he would threaten to bite, but he never actually did.

When we found out he had chronic renal failure (CRF), he had to go for evaluation every once in a
while, and the nurses told us that he would hold out his arm (foreleg) and heave a sigh when it was
time to draw blood.

Everybody loved him, vets, nurses, and us. We loved him utterly.

Morning Folks.
Sunny and warm here today.

Joe, that other thread contains two trolls.
Might be time for some funny pictures over there. :)

Now THAT is funny! LOL!

Good morning, all! Happy Groundhog Day! (We have Max, the desert tortoise, and he hasn’t come out of hibernation, yet, so spring is not eminent.)

Beeber shows it’s 25 here now. DP and some kids have gone Scouting For Food, which is actually Tom and Pat’s main occupation all the time, only they usually don’t go trolling the streets of random housing developments.

The rest of us are at home being cold.

I’m about to take the vacuum upstairs for some cleaning activity, which might get Bill out of bed.

Or not. Good morning, y'all! Ice all over the ground. Overcast. Good day to stay on couch under fuzzy blanket and finish a book.
