I go to Wally World when I need to, but that’s not saying I like to go. It means walking a mile+ in the cold dark and either taking a cab home because of the amount of bags, or riding the bus. The cab is $15 for a seven-minute ride, and the bus is $1 for an hour.
Necessity drives me.

"They say it may snow over night." If it snows over night, does it still stay dark?
We have snow here. Am willing to share.

I can’t tell, it’s still dark. Jake went out, but he came back. I’m not sure what that means, weather-wise.

There are currently rain reflections along the TN border but your state is currently rain free, bar a few small reflections around Raleigh.
Oh and Good Morning ,TC! :)

Good morning. The weather-beeber says it’s 34 outside, which means any precipitation would be rain, which means Jake would have been on my keyboard in a demonstration of wet fur. Ergo, no precip!

There’s a place for high-tech meteorology, like when you want to know if the tornado is headed right for you, but for the everyday, a cat works just fine. If you don’t like cats, you can just walk out the door yourself and see what falls on you.

A simple rule of thumb around here is:
If you can see the contrails the sky is clear,
If not it is overcast,
If you can’t see any aircraft it is about to rain,
If you can’t hear any Aircraft it is raining.
Thank you Boeing for your weather indicating equipment.

Busdaddy drives a bus in Vegas...I live in Henderson. And the bus here doesn’t go TO Walmart; it only comes FROM Walmart. Where I pick it up to come home, it makes a circle that closes, about half a mile past my complex, then goes back west.
So I either walk to Walmart or take a taxi, and I’m not flush enough to take a taxi both ways, even on paydays.

Hello, Moose!
I got almost 12 hours of sleep last night. Of course, after walking to Walmart three days in a row, that wasn’t surprising.
Just having a cuppa and waiting for the sun to peek over the yardarm. ;o]
How are things with you? Do you still have some lousy weather?

Do you have a shopping cart? I used one when I lived in an urban area and didn’t have a car—it was a lifesaver.

I do have a shoping cart, but it wouldn’t last long if I had to pull it behind me for a mile, several times a month. Besides, the buses frown on them...they block the aisles and pose a hazard to passengers.
The one I have is used mostly for taking my laundry to the laundry room, which is a block away.
But it’s a good idea. I see one old person (I can never tell if it’s a man or woman) who has his/her O2 tanks in it, along with a pillow and blankets. Probably a dialysis patient.
Riding buses can be entertaining... ;o]

Hello’Face,
Good to see you.
12 hours sleep is fantastic, i only just manage 6.
Wal*Xart operate under another name here (Asda), the stores are so massive you can see the curve of the earth in the floor.
The old sun has failed to put in a showing today, after yesterdays beautiful sunny day. They have predicted more snow sometime this week.
After the last batch of snow we had flooding ,when that receded it was heavy rain followed by...flooding. The water has receded now just in time for more snow. A fairly standard winter.
The prepping came in handy with the power outages the other day. A transformer parted company with reality and put 12000 houses into darkness, make that 11999. :)
The electric company had the emergency generators in place within 24 hours with normal service resumed in 48!
Just put out a cup of Tea...
