Really liked it this year. The judges have to select real talent as they are the coaches and the show is also about them winning.
Also less drama, and bad performers. The people they allow into the contest can sing .
Enjoyed the final 3 greatly. Each had their own style , and to me any of them would beat many of the past Idol winners.
Blake and Adam are the heart of the show. C Lo should join Nicki in wardrobe selection. Christina is ok, and certainly better than J Lo as a judge.

Well I have to say I was actually OK with the new panel. Nikki actually sounded knowledgable about the craft at times, and was fairly well spoken and very courteous to the contestants.
Kieth Urban was good, but quite reserved, and at times Mariah looked like she was bored with everything.
I did ickup a little on what is probably fueling a lot of the ‘conflict’ between Mariah and Nikki — basically Jealousy. The vast majority of the contestants fawned over Mariah, and you could see Nikki visible bristle every time a contestant went “OMG I can’t believe I am in the same room with Mariah Carey”
LOL, and the girl said she's 28 now. Bet that made Carey feel awesome.

Yes, the talent is so much better on average than idol. And the judges are funny and adorable. Blake, this country boy who loves his drink, and Adam so cute it must be illegal (”and a nice Jewish boy! Except for the tattoos” lol). Christina bugged me but I will really miss ceeLo. I think he felt he wasn’t verbally quick and clever enough. Those guys are quite smart and verbal. Next year it’s Usher and another long haired blonde chick but without the giant “puppies fighting under not much of a blanket” which I was very sick of.
I think Jonny should do a Voice thread. But there is less to snark about. Is just a pleasure to watch!

Off topic, but I read a story recently about the current season of the Bachelor. One of the ladies is a partial amputee...at birth, they had to amputate her left arm just above the elbow. She’s very attractive, accomplished. I’m wondering why she doesn’t have a prosthetic device. They are remarkable. Same thing for the girl surfer who had her arm bitten off by a shark. She’s made a remarkable comeback. Is there a certain community of those who have lost limbs who don’t want artificial ones?
My wife and I never make it past the blind auditions.
I watched the first season, Loved the auditions but hated it after that. Second season watched just the auditions and last season didn’t watch at all.
Some folks...particularly those born without limbs, or who lost them at a very young age, tend to adapt to not having that limb, and generally function better without a prosthetic in some cases! Others just find the prosthetic too cumbersome, or too difficult to get used to, or are simply content with what they have (or don’t have)..
In that same vein............I vividly recall, early in my career, when I delivered babies for a living.......a babe was born without fingers on his left hand.......I was sad and yes, tearful....the pediatrician was fantastic...he gave me a hug and said...”that lad will be fine...he does not know he is supposed to have fingers on that hand”
The child will adapt, in other words :-)

hell, I dont know...Im just thinking it is worth a shot...because it seems (at least for thge past many months) that even the owners do not have a freakin clue about what is going on with this site, or how to fix it, despite the “beg a thon” cash flow!

I thought that the first season. I was only interesting for those blind auditions. But starting in the second season and even better in the third were the actual contests. This time there were even steals when someone was sent home. The head to head contests were intense and so many were top notch talents. Wow. I actually enjoyed a lot of the singing. And best is the interaction between Adam and Blake. Their humor is pretty real and funny.
This idol thread crowd would have loved that gap toothed mini cruella baby doll girl!

I loaded ok for me right now but you know what I hate on threads like this? A long time ago, when you wrote a post, “replying” to the post you last read, after you finished sending your reply, FR brought you back to that last post you read. Now it sends you to the top of that page. Bleah.
Also, I would think it would be the easiest thing in the world to prevent dual posts, like most message boards have. If a post is identical to one posted, it doesn’t post. Duh! With all the $ we spend here, why can’t we get formats equal to other sites?
