The best example I can think of is when Gretchen Mol told the story of how the Commodore raped her when she was 12 or 13 years old. Then two episodes later we were all like, “Oh Jimmy, NOOOOOOOO! That’s your mom!!!”
That scene with jimmy was where I nearly stopped watching. The same week, maybe the same night, on Dexter, His sister Deb “realizes” she is in love with her brother. To me it was like the whole TV pulled itself off the wall and jumped over a shark. Incest week on cable?? It was as if Barack Obama were reelected President. ;)

Holy southern accent, batman! This is the very first time I’ve ever heard Keith Urban sing! How can he go from Australian to Texan?? Wow! Cool. How did he do it? He is so sweet and cute, not my type though, but how can he stand that cold bitchy wife?? I hope she is nice to him.
Chalky especially had some great scenes in season 2. The one in the jail cell with David Copperfield was brilliant.
Oh, yes! And the dining room table scene with his daughter’s boyfriend. That was so real. I hope there is more Chalky. And I hope someone kills Gretchen Mol.
I agree with both of you, and now that you mention it, I bet she is using those nicknames to put them in their place a little. Most of these kids can actually sing (Minaj can’t, as far as I know). She’s threatened by their talent, particularly the girls who threaten her with their natural good looks too. She put down Kree and Janelle last night in very backhanded ways.
I’m growing to kind of agree with her assessments but she is awfully condescending for someone with very little singing talent. I agree, she must be threatened.
