"The Big Broadcast is a Sunday night tradition for families throughout the WAMU listening area. Each week, Big Broadcast host Ed Walker offers listeners priceless recordings of popular radio programs from the '30s, '40s and '50s. Priceless, especially, for a man whose first sentence as a child was, 'Turn the radio on.' "

KJO, this is not about the libtards of NPR. The Big Broadcast is a long-running, shining example of old-time American radio. It is the exception to the leftist slime of NPR.

Hi, Vision. We’re gonna grill a couple of beef steaks, too, strips. What are crash potatoes? Not much going on here.

Rush and Wayne Allen Root both predicted the 49ers and Patriots (but Root made his prediction at the beginning of the season!). We’ll see...

That sounds good, Vision. I have some baking potatoes and sweet potatoes in there. Still have to figure out what to make for a side.

We may be partly listening to the Patriots-Ravens game instead of the Big Broadcast. We’ll see...

“Sing Sing Sing” is one of our big-time favorite songs! It’s a Louie Prima composition, I believe (it has lyrics). Benny Goodman had the smash hit with the instrumental of it.

Yeah, we’ve gone back to the game. We listened to Gunsmoke and Goodman, but now put the radio back on football.
