While dogs are known to occasionally display homosexual behaviour, animal experts say a male dog mounting another male dog is not a sign of sexual orientation but rather a sign of dominance.

The dog's fate has sparked a frantic appeal among animal lovers to find a new owner before it's too late.

A Facebook page has been set up with the message: 'Don't let this gorgeous dog die bc his owner is ignorant of normal dog behavior!

'He's in kennel 10L and he WILL be put down tomorrow bc there is no room at the inn!'

A lot of the comments at the site indicate that most people don’t realize this is a gimmick.

I’ve seen shelters use this ploy on craigslist as they try and place dogs out for adoption.

“Adopt this dog before 10:00 am tomorrow or he will be euthanized!”

Pretty sleazy tactic, if ya wanna know.

Gee. What a surprise. Yet another article in the Daily Mail that generates traffic by portraying Southern Christian Americans as a bunch of ignorant, bigoted yahoos. Other day I saw a PSA presented with AT&T getting a ‘credit’, with a picture of a coffin, child, Father(?), Mother(?) and a picture of a smiling Marine.

The Mother(?) makes a statement to the effect ‘the last text of ?? was this’ and holding a paper with a short message, cut off in mid stroke, and then pointing out the dangers of texting and driving.

In my mind the use of the picture of the Marine in this ‘ad’ is tantamount to Gabby in the well pleading ‘for the children’. I would be disgusted enough if she had just been using HER OWN situation BUT to cite ‘do it for the children’ is disgusting.
