Time to ban travel and cars. WHAT ARE WE DOING TO OUR CHILDREN!!!!!
Was in a car accident years ago. The cop didn’t ask if I was alright....she asked if I was wearing my seat belt. AND I was sitting there with my belt on.

Three buildings and school were also destroyed and Detroit authorities estimate the damages could run into hundreds of dollars.
Some years ago my sister picked up her idiot of a drunken former husband up at a bar and swerved to miss a deer on the way home and crashed.
The paper said “Alcohol was involved”. My sister has never drank. LOL
BAN HIGHWAYS..if it can save one life it will be worth it..can’t we all take one very important lesson from the Jetsons..fly your car in the sky, its much safer

Interesting to compare the press account of this pile-up versus the one that happened in east Texas several weeks ago because of fog bank and sudden zero visibility. Our accident was reportedly because Texans were driving too fast and not paying attention - in Detroit it was because of white out conditions.
Must be because of their “superior northern culture”.

That looks like ‘greasy snow’...just enough to make it slippery as hell; not enough for your tires to bite into...I ALWAYS warn my wife to watch the roads after a quick squall on dry pavement. Many drivers don’t slow down because it is ‘only a little snow...not very deep’. Slow down, for crying out loud...
Makes sense to expect more of Texans. We can normally drive in thick fog ... we just weren’t paying attention. They can’t even drive straight on a clear day, so the white-out made it impossible.
You’d think most people from Detroit would be easier to see in whiteout conditions.

I’m just real tired of Yankees picking on Southerners, particularly Texans, and always coming up with an excuse for the behavior of those who live up north. Must be something in my “Southern Culture” to use Al Sharpton’s term. Seems like way too many of them sure want to move down here though.
nobody drives slow on detroit interstates...If your not doing 75 your slowing up traffic....

In the article Cindy Dingell “spokeswoman” for Wayne County Department of Public Services said that I-75 was salted several times that Thursday mooring.
