Shield Tactical released the following statement on their Facebook page today.

Who didn’t see THIS coming, honestly? :)

Shield Tactical is pleased to announce that we are moving our retail division to Shiner, Texas. We are pleased to have neighbors such as TBRC and the Spoetzl Brewery (home of Shiner Beer). Shipping etc will not be substantially affected.

Out training division will remain in CA until the legislature outlaws everything.

Was this due to Rick’s “failed” hunt for businesses in California?

You know the media will NEVER admit that Gov. Perry’s trip out there had ANYTHING to do with this - even if Tactical wrote a letter that STATED it was because of Perry - the media will NEVER admit that!

It’s not because of Perry. It’s the gun climate in Calif. Why they are leaving any part of their company in Calif is hard to understand though.

I’m not familiar with this business, but hey, Welcome Home. Enjoy not having a State Income tax. Enjoy having clean air, open spaces, a more rational State Gov, a population not afraid to profess their faith, a lot less BS, and a stronger sense of what it means to be free.

Oh yeah, ask your new neighbors for a case of the Heffewiesen.

Why they are leaving any part of their company in Calif is hard to understand though.

It is standard practice. They assure the community in which they are located that their remaining jobs are secure, then incrementally move everything out.

They should come out also and say that effective immediately we shall not provide any service or sale of any kind to Any Public Servant, public Official or Any agency of any government or any employee of any government agency. All customers shall provide a State Income Tax return and sign an Official release for their Tax records to verify they are in fact a CIVILIAN.

This would make it FELONY FRAUD for Any Government Agent to attempt to purchase anything they sell or offer.

That’s one state that is on a clear path to destruction (CA) unless they can rid themselves of the liberal pestilence

I like what some companies are doing by only selling to LEO agencies what the civilians in their jurisdiction are “allowed” to buy.

It’s the gun climate in Calif.

That is why they are LEAVING Cali!

It’s not because of Perry.

Definitely can't be Perry that helped remind them that business in Texas is GOOD! Which helped them decided to move TO Texas instead of Alabama or Oklahoma or some other pro-gun state.

Just for the record, I am not saying that is the reason, but I bet it certainly did NOT HURT Texas, when they were making their decision.

Well, Governor Perry did say Texas is “Open for business” a few weeks ago. I’m happy they decided to move here. We may need them in a few years.

From the TEXAS Declaration of Independence from Mexico..

http://avalon.law.yale.edu/19th_century/texdec.asp

“It has demanded us to deliver up our arms, which are essential to our defence, the rightful property of freemen, and formidable only to tyrannical governments.”

THE RIGHTFUL PROPERTY OF FREEMEN! Even Texas understood it!

Our local conservative radio shows aired Perry's "Come to Texas" ads....well, at least that's where I heard them.

I love CA, the old CA, but it really is going to have to hit rock bottom in order for anything to change here.

Shield Tactical is pleased to announce that we are moving our retail division to Shiner, Texas.

He needs to go to all the major manufactures of parts and firearms in states that are attempting to enact anti-self defense and personally invite them to Texas. Have A.G. Greg Abbot follow up with info on the legal protections that can be provided.

THEN...

He should visit all the OTHER domestic parts and firearms AND ammo manufactures about creating or moving facilities to Texas.

He can easily create a "Texas Industrial Firearms Coalition" and develop it into a single point of access that will have a high degree of steady and reliable delivery of quality arms, parts, components and ammunition to both domestic and international customers.

Then he can point out how he simply used free market principals to liberate employees and companies in the other states that are killing jobs with their anti-self defense regulations and turned it into even more Texas job creation.

.

The CCDL sent this email the other day:

http://ccdl.us/blog/2013/02/20/firearm-companies-boycott-government-agencies">Firearm Companies Boycott Government Agencies

Since the recent passage of the draconian NY State gun control laws, some companies have decided to take a stand. These companies have come out and said that they will no longer sell items to law enforcement and government agencies that law abiding citizens can’t possess. First, I have to give credit to Ronnie Barrett, of Barrett Firearms. He really started this list a decade ago, when first Los Angeles and then California banned .50 caliber rifles and ammo. Barrett responded by refusing to sell or service items for California law enforcement or government.

Fast forward to the present. Some states, including Connecticut, are pursuing anti-gun legislation. Other companies are following in Ronnie Barrett’s footsteps. Here’s the ones I know of, with links to their new policy.

If you know of any I’ve missed, leave a comment with the company and a link to the policy and I’ll add them. And if there is a company you do business with that isn’t listed, email or call them and urge them to join the companies above. Remember, there are approximately 800,000 police officers in the entire country. According to the FBI there were 2.5 million NICS checks in January alone. Think about that. In one month, law-abiding civilians purchased enough firearms to outfit every police officer in the country three times over. WE ARE THEIR CUSTOMER BASE.

____________________________________

Poor Connecticut, as you all know, the seat of firearms manufacturing to the world. Soon, we will no longer have firearms manufacturing in the state, and I wouldn't blame the companies for leaving. It will break my heart when Strum Ruger, Colt, Marlin, Mossberg or Stag part company with the draconian state.
