Danica Patrick’s day ended in disappointment after she blew a right-front tire during the NASCAR Sprint Cup Subway 500 and wrecked on the frontstretch at Phoenix International Raceway.
The accident on Lap 185 was further compounded when David Ragan slammed into her No. 10 GoDaddy.com Chevy SS.

Danica is a race car driver? Who knew?
Well then Don’t worry, it wasn’t.
I think the greatest objection to the Danica-type disruptions is the celebratory messaging that frames the original venue and participants as hostile to, and unworthy of modern, but superficial standards.
As far as Danica is concerned, I have no problem with her involvement, but I’m not plastered to the tube having to endure the apparently annoying hype.
Hope she’s okay.
Social Justice requires that she be awarded a win at some point. I can see them retroactively disqualifying the 7 drivers that placed before her at Daytona and awarding her the win. I’m sure there were enough wheel nudges, improper passing, dirty looks and obvious sexual discrimination to justify the action .... or at least that’s the impression I got from the “professional” news readers at MSM.
All they do anyway is go round and round in circles in cars that have corporate logos painted all over them. I guess if that is what people like to watch, let them watch and let the drivers drive.
“Dont nascar fans get dizzy watching the cars go round and round and round?”
That’s why they need to post photos of a dizzy brunette driver babe.... just to help them unwind, ya know.
bump for later!
I didn’t know Danica was married.
Was is the correct word to use as she filed for divorce on Jan. 3, 2013. Danica was married to Paul Hospenthal for seven yrs before the filing. She’s now dating fellow driver Ricky Stenhouse Jr. or so the rumor mills say.
If I wanted to be taken seriously as a viable contender in a male dominated sport, there is no way there would be a photo like this of me. I would be judged on my professional driving ability ONLY. Then when I whined or complained it wouldn’t sound so silly.
Patti wasnt really interested in the sport until she obtained her licence at the age of sixteen and then it all changed. She went out of control!
"I guess I didn't really ever think about racing until I got a street car, a '75 Camaro," Moise began. "Dad helped me fix it up. It had headers, mag wheels and big, fat tires. I didn't jack it up, though. So there was some class involved. It had a custom pin striping job on it. I went berserk, crazy, racing and chasing, just stupid high-school stuff. I was really lucky not to get killed. Played chicken ... every bad thing you don't want your kid to do in a car that was me. I really got in a lot of trouble, got a lot of tickets, had a few wrecks."
she has two careers- driver AND model. I dont fault her for persuing them both. People want to see her, she has a sponsor, capitalism is working for her...
Anna Kornikova was the same- mediocre tennis player, great model.
Many football and other (male) sports stars have also modeled underwear ads (that women seemed to like) without being “not taken seriously” as a sports player anymore...
