There are only two episodes left in this season of The Walking Dead! Only two more episodes for us to learn what will befall the beleaguered denizens of the prison! Only two more episodes for the Governor to execute his nefarious plans...and maybe Andrea, too!
So what can we expect? We tracked down Rick Grimes himself, Andrew Lincoln, to give us a tease.
What can you tell us about Sunday's episode?
It's an incredibly emotional episode. And heroic. There are two performances in it that, when I was watching actors do it, I just loved it. It was perfect. Like a lot of the writing this season, it goes in a way I never anticipated, and it's very surprising. It's a great episode. It felt like clockwork. Every scene earned its place and moved the story along like clockwork.
Does that leave any room for drama in the finale?
That episode doesn't pull any punches. It's pretty much what everyone has grown accustomed to in our season finale. It's carnage, and there is death. Something happens that I find incredibly shocking that relates directly to my character and the prison family. It really came out of left field for me and I never expected it. When I read the script, I was really shocked.
Someone's gonna die? Is it a series regular? Day player? Who dies? Who dies, Andy????
It's safe to say there are deaths. I'm not gonna be the person who is quoted saying more than that! Leslie, if you were showrunner, and you wanted to finish strongly and shock people, what would you do?
Dig into the source material and come up with an ending that diverges from the comics.
We need you in the writers' room, Leslie!
Don't say that. I'll be on the first plane to Georgia. Do not say that to me, man. So what else should fans know about the finale then? Is this a wrapping-things-up kind of finale or a cliffhanger finale?
I will say that there are satisfying thingsstorylines resolvedbut also, it's heartbreaking.
The Walking Dead ping!
Please let me know if you would like on or off The Walking Dead ping list.
Thanks, ConjunctionJunction.
It’s going to ge good!
I thought the show fared better the first season, when there were a half a dozen episodes. These past two years have WAY too much filler.
I like Herschel!
I have the same feeling about Herschel and like him, too.
Me too! :(
he’s going to impregnate andrea. i saw the instruments on the table, one was a speculum. he misses his daughter and he thinks andrea is a substitute wife.
i think one of the less active women characters goes down. the one who lost her daughter springs to mind.
See that old guy on the other side of the fence? I see him all the time walking around the local mall.......
I’m thinking maybe Carol gets killed and Daryl breaks down and cries because deep inside he really loves her.......
Off topic, but I’m curious why so many Brits are cast in the show that is shot and takes place in the USA.
Rick, Morgan, Maggie and the Gov are all Brits. Not that there’s anything wrong with that.....Just wonderin’.
Also, I always thought that Maggie was marginally cute in a perky sort of way, but I saw her on Talking dead all cleaned up and she is absolutely drop dead gorgeous. Le rawr!
I think after last week’s episode there is a good chance Andrea may die. I would be really upset if Beth, Judith, Carol, or Carl died. I do not think they will kill off Glen, Maggie, or Hershel. I think the rest of the cast is pretty safe except for maybe Merle. I am starting to like him but he seems kind of expendable.
Please don’t let it be Herschel or Glenn. I think (hope)Darryl and Rick are safe.
I don’t doubt it’s going to be an emotional episode; according to Directv, it’s called “This Sorrowful Life.” Ugh.
Maggie really is beautiful with makeup, and an absence of dirt and sweat, LOL.
I don’t mind the Brit actors at all——they do much, much better Southern accents than most American actors.
I’ve been waiting for these two episodes. I read the graphic novel, and I am wondering if they are going to follow that; ‘cause, if they do, a lot of actors are going to be looking for jobs.
Maggie was born in the good old US of A. She moved to England with her mom after her folks divorced when she was 13-14.
Well stay away from him! ;-)
I love the Maggie and Glenn story...
I saw that Talking Dead episode and was shocked by her accent, lol. I agree with you that she is beautiful.
Half of this town (Tucson) already looks like that — in between the dumbing down at the schools, the crap in the skies, and the welfare and meth....
