Man Charged For Hunting In A Walmart Parking Lot

BURRELL TOWNSHIP (KDKA) – An Indiana County man is facing several charges, after wildlife officials say he went deer hunting in a Walmart parking lot.

The Pennsylvania Game Commission says 40-year-old Arcangelo Bianco Jr., fired several rounds from a handgun at a 10-point white-tailed deer from within the Burrell Township store’s parking lot, and then bagged the animal near Old William Penn Highway.

The alleged shooting happened last November, while Bianco was shopping at the store, and then saw the buck in the parking lot.

According to charging documents, the deer ran around a corner of the store, and Bianco hopped out of his truck, gun in hand, and “began firing multiple rounds at the deer.”

Bianco faces a misdemeanor count of reckless endangerment, as well as several hunting violations, including hunting without a license, shooting on or across highways and unlawful killing or taking of big game.

A preliminary hearing has been scheduled for May 1.

I hunt with a pistol sometimes, but not while jumping out of my truck in a parking lot on private property without a license, he is the definition of an idiot imho.

I’ve had buck fever before, but come on.

Now had he just ran it down with his truck, that might be a different story... :)

About 20 years ago I was watching 20/20 or 60 minutes or something. They were doing a story on game wardens in some southeastern state placing a decoy buck a hundred feet or so off a highway to nab people who would stop their vehicles and shoot it.

But one couple in a somewhat jacked up 4x4 at night did them one better. They ran it down with their pickup.

Deer was probably going to shop lift out in the garden department plant section.

Field dress 'em right there...

Well, sure. That's why they set up the swing sets outside.

10-point white-tailed deer

Every man has his breaking point and a 10 point buck amounts to an enormous temptation.

“We get feral pigs here in East Texas.”

I’d prefer the elk. More damage to the car, but honest.

Now, the black bear by the dumpster in the morning (a consistent summer issue, probably once a week because some people are sloppy with the garbage) while wearing flip flops and boxers have made me pack a GLOCK 10 to take out the trash. Scared the heck out of me a couple times.

We have Canada geese nesting on the medians in our Walmart parking lot. They’re protected and they know it.

I read about one of those DNR decoys. THe thing had been shot so many times that there were visible holes and chunks missing. One leg was a 2X4 nd it still was getting shot by road hunters.
