Skip to comments.Celebrity hive mind outraged by gun control vote (tweets at link)

We know were not famous actors who earn a living playing make-believe, but would it be OK if just for today we pretended all of this righteous outrage was inspired by the Kermit Gosnell trial?

Rush said yesterday that 92% (via a recent poll) of the nation do not want this anti constitutional bill to go forward...
...who are these elitist putzes to go against the constitution....and the ability of us to remain FREE.
That thread looked more like this week’s line-up on Hollywood Squares than any acual celebrities.
my computer gets stuck at that website.
Sheldon Cooper is right to HATE Wil Wheaton.
I recognize maybe 5% of the names at that link.
What’s wrong with me?
Four things after reading the Twichy examples:
Elizabeth Perkins, plays the hippy druggy mom on a new TV series......it is sh!t canned on my list for watching.
Jason Biggs.....a disgusting Piece of Sh!t. So “jumped the shark”......IMHO, he’s a closet homo.
Alyssa Milano....used to be hot hot...now just a shill on some dumbass hair shampoo infomercial. Lotsa wrinkles....girl, gotta stop the vodka....
So so many wannabes, suckups and a lot of old has beens. You won’t get your numbers up this way. Some of us still have memories and free will. Will enough to not watch anything you were in, are in or will be in. I’ve already had to drop HBO off my cable because of asses like you. HBO has a preference for libtard movies.
Obviously they’re going to push their bulls**t 90% figure hard. Let’s get something straight you Hollyweird dips**ts, politicians represent their constituents, not liberal celebrities. If they don’t represent their constituents, they get freakin’ fired. So, if 90% of their constituents truly supported this bill, you can bet your collectivist a**es, they would have too. That they didn’t should tell you and everyone else just how real that 90% number is. Go take your names now you ****ing morons.
These same celebrity whiners enjoy 24/7 armed protection. They and their political gods can shove it.
You probably have a job, pay actual net taxes, aren’t on EITC, TANF, SNAP, WICs, Section 8, Obamaphone or any of the other 80+ government leech programs.
Use Mozilla instead of IE.
...and tattoos.. She's rather gross now...
I don’t play with computers...just use em.
I leave that to my IT department...my kids.
There was a point in this country when I’d hazard to guess a substantial portion of this country was predisposed to discrimination against blacks and supported anti-busing efforts - Boston comes to mind here (busing).
The point is that the example above and other examples are about rights against prevaling opinion. For Democrats, this is good if it involves a minority, foreigner, illegal or any other do-gooder Democrat. They used the Constitution to get their way.
Now, it’s a different story. They hate the Consitution now. It (the second amendment) is passe, outdated and violent.
F@ck them. I’ll stand on 2A, and if it comes down to it, fight for it.
There's a Gallup poll out. “Only 4% of Americans Think Gun Control is an Important Problem.” Only 4%! After all the Newtown stuff on Air Force One. After all the so-called lobbying. After all of the caring. After all of the attention. After all of the focus. Only 4% of the American people think gun control is an important problem, but the people in Washington do not care. We've got Dingy Harry out talking about the anti-gun bill, letting the cat out of the bag. And that has always been the point, folks.
These polls saying that 90% of Americans believe in universal background checks, not true. They ignore the fact that nearly 100% of Americans do not think this is an issue. Only 4% of Americans think gun control’s an important problem. Can I talk to you about disconnect? If you turn on the media, if you listen to it, read it, watch it, all you'll think is going on is gun control and immigration. Alternate hours, alternate days, gun control here, immigration there. The next hour, immigration, then gun control.
Since you brought up Hollywood Squares, I can't resist posting my favorite one-liner from that show:
Peter Marshall (host): According to Ann Landers, is there anything wrong with getting into the habit of kissing a lot of people?
Charley Weaver: It kept me out of the army.
Bette Midler: Today, the US SENATE VOTED AGAINST 91% OF THE COUNTRY THAT WANTS BACKGROUND CHECKS. WE ARE TAKING NAMES, M****RF*****s
You got it all wrong Midler. WE THE PEOPLE who put money into the pockets of useless leeches like you are taking names. Now go read the second amendment and don’t call us, we’ll call you. DUMBA$$.
Ah, celebrities...is there anything they DON'T know?
Well, our laws are specific about property, too.
Are property rights ‘obsolete’ as well.
I'd like to hear from these same morons if/when property rights are assaulted the same way 2nd amendment rights have been!!
I wonder if they will be as WONDERFULLY rational and articulate when THAT happens!! :)
Seriously, in order to be an actor these days you must be brain dead.
She is parroting an editorial written in the NYT where a guy claimed there should be changes to the second amendment to guarantee gun rights with limitation.
Somehow I believe there is a drug connection with these Hollywood people. Drugs have this mind altering quality that sends these people into that place called Bazarro World.
Do these celebrities have brains? Wonder which one of them that support Obama and communism will be first to board the trains with the rest of us?
Celebrities? I never heard of most of those no-names. My local weatherman is more of a “celebrity.”
Wil Wheaton sounds like a queer having a temper fit.
Heh, heh. Actually, self employed. I guess that’s even worse than having a job!
"As actors, it is our responsibility to read the newspapers, and then say what we read on television like it's our own opinion."
Suck my fat one, you cheap dime store hood.
Bette Bitchy, who CARES what you think, you dried up old lefty hag!
Tony Bennett said the vote(s) were against the will of the people. Well, didn’t the congress go against the will of the people when they rammed Obamacare down our collective throats? Hummmmmm!
Wow. Combined with the other 90% Obama claimed to have on his side, that's a lot of people...
Turn the tables on the “stars” — impose a “Violent Entertainment Tax” — 10% of their income for the children.
If I didn’t think Twitter was an absolute waste of time, I’d be trolling some of these people hard. As it stands, though, their implosion is still fun to watch. #bloodpressuresprayingoutleftiesears
I can say with GREAT PRIDE that I don’t give a flying rat’s ass what a Hollywood actress thinks or twits, or tweets or whatever the hell they call it.
Terry McMillan ✔
i would like to smack Rand Paul dead in his mouth.

Who cares? Those celebrities have as much real credibility as Kermit the Frog.
That sounds more like something you'd hear from Paul Lind (and he'd actually mean it).
Much of their tweets are parroting. You’ll see some huffingtonpost articles in their retweets as well.
I see this same crap (from less widely seen liberal/progressive blogs) on Facebook all the time.
And they wonder why their “followers” or “friends” drop their feeds. Ain’t nobody subscribing to a celebrity to see a retweet/repost of some left wing talking points.
Remember when “just about everybody” changed their facebook profile pic to a red square with pink equals signs? That lasted about 2 days. Only about 2% of them are still using that profile pic. Which just goes to show...
Fine. Let's have a debate about whether to amend the Constitution. As the Founders intended us to do.
Since they can't get a rather simple bill through one house of Congress, I suggest they not hold their breath while waiting to get 2/3 of both houses and 3/4 of the states to vote against 2A.
