Full title - "'You deserve to rot in hell for what you have done to me': Daughter's twitter outburst about mom who has resurfaced after being missing for ELEVEN years"

The teenage daughter of a woman who secretly left her family 11 years ago says she's angry and doesn't want to have a relationship with her.

Morgan Heist said Thursday that she's still trying to sort out why Brenda Heist would have decided to abandon her and her brother in Pennsylvania in 2002 and hitchhike with strangers to Florida.

Morgan Heist is now a 19-year-old freshman at a community college outside Philadelphia. She says she thinks about how she's spent the last decade mourning a woman who was alive.

Heist’s ex-husband meanwhile has said he is angry but working on forgiveness. He was once considered a suspect in her disappearance.

'There were families who would not let our children play with theirs because of me,' says Lee Heist Senior.

Brenda Heist was reported missing by her husband on February 8, 2002. The then 42-year-old was last been seen that morning dropping off her two children at school in Lititz, Pennsylvania. Her car was found a few days later with no apparent sign of a struggle.

Then on Friday evening she walked into Monroe County Sheriff’s Office in Key Largo, Florida and announced who she was.

After arriving in the Sunshine State, she had lived as a homeless person in the Key West area, sleeping under bridges and tents and eating food thrown out by fast food restaurants, police said.

In all the years she was missing she never used a bank card or ID, even when she made some money cleaning boats.

Just out of curiosity, why is there a need to include the fact that she is “unable to grow facial hair” in her Identifying Characteristics on the Missing poster?

Nebuchadnezzar, as a punishment from God had his mind taken away for seven years so he lived as a wild animal in the wilderness. But God preserved his kingdom so he was restored..........

Just my opinion, but the daughter would better serve herself to allow herself to forgive, even if she never allows her mother to see her again. The anger will eat her up inside, and I’m thinking the mother may not be worth all that anger.

It’s amazing how a different pair of shoes can change a person’s perspective.

There was a time when I would have felt just like that daughter feels today. My father took off like that, and then showed up 15 years later. I was pretty angry at him, too. If that wasn’t enough, he did it again and years later we learned he’d died.

Then, about 12 years ago, a relative of mine went missing. She was found dead 7 years later. It was hell to go through that, and still is more often than I’d like. But I loved her so much that if she were to show up alive, even now, I would cry rivers, oceans even, of tears of joy to have her back even if she did return as a crack whooooore. It doesn’t mean I wouldn’t be indignant with cries of “what the hell were you THINKING????” But if she walked through that door, right now, this minute, she’d be in my arms so fast her head would spin!

This young woman has a chance right now to do something her mother didn’t do, and that is to stand strong, forgive, and love her mother back to health. Chances are, her mother has aids or HIV and won’t be here long anyway. Put down the pride little girl, this is a once in a lifetime opportunity.

She was legally declared dead in 2009. If there was a life insurance payout what happens now that she’s undead?

I feel sorry for the father. He must have went through hell with people thinking he killed his wife. Such a sad story.

Wasn’t there a king or important person in the Old Testament who wandered around in the desert for a few years, mid-life, and then came back?

Nebuchadnezzar. Read Daniel Ch. 4.

Because the lack of eyebrows could help identify her. It says she had to pencil them in.
