Mick Jagger zinger at Verizon Center: "I don't think President Obama is here tonight... But I'm sure he's listening in."
“Mick Jagger just said President Obama and everyone booed. And i’m not embellishing.”
It’s been known for a long time that Mick is a Tory, who supported Thatcher.
that’s because he’s smart as a whip.
Believe before joining the Stones, he studied at the London School of Economics.
You'll be pleasantly surprised.
Candy Slice (aka Gilda Radner) - Gimme Mick
Bump for the love....
Not only was he the total rock star I always dreamed he would be, he was also funny, unpredictable, incredibly cool, open, and one of the most generous people Id ever met He said to me, My staff is your staff. Use all my resources to help promote your record while we tour. Use this private room for interviews, use these people to help you. Then he gave me a big solo spot in the show.
He was totally selfless and completely excited to help me with my success. I just learned so much and he really allowed me to establish myself as a solo artist.
Being on stage with him every night, I never failed to appreciate that this is a guy who always is trying harder than all of us to make a great show for the audience. We had an 11-piece band so if someone wanted to kick back and relax a bit, it'd be easy to cover. But then Mick would run past you, giving 100%, 100% of the time, and you'd realize, if he's doing it, we all have to do it. He would drag me into the spotlight with him so different parts of the audience could really see me. He loves his audience so much, and is so focused on pleasing them that's what I think I was the important thing he taught me appreciating those who come and see you play and working your hardest to please them.
Which, from what I understand, is run (or started) by Fabian Socialists. Hope his heart is for Capitalism.
And that's got something to do with why we're about to hand Obama's political party about 35 million new voters.
Every one of the boo-er's lost votes will be replaced with a thousand new low-information voters from Mexico and Honduras.
Mick’s dad was very conservative as well, so I would think his influence rubbed off on him.
This is very good. Obama is beginning to be Palin’d by media icons. Ridicule is the most powerful way to undermine those in power. It’s classic Alinsky, used against the Alinksy-ites. Love it.
Hope so! :-)
Jagger has felt that way since 1974:
“FINGERPRINT FILE” by the Rolling Stones
And thanks because it reminded me how much I love the sound of Les Paul turned up.
OMG I completely forgot about that! Candy Slice as Patti Smith. And a baby faced Paul Shaffer and G.E. Smith!!!
Yep, I miss her too. The current crop of SNL players cannot hold a candle to the originals.
Yep, that's the bottom line. One-party banana republic, here we come.
P.S. to Mick: Banana republics don't tolerate dissent very well. Don't be surprised if you find yourself on a watch list sometime soon.
I’d be on the lookout for a “Snowden-Aid” event pretty soon...
If that doesn’t get your blood boiling, you’re an enemy of the state and deserve a traitor’s death.
Yea, he has sold millions more albums to the capitalist west than he ever will in socialist Europe. Socialism is not an easy sell to thinking wealthy elites. It’s just those that are eaten up with dumba$$ that will never see it coming.
The pine away for a european style socialist state. If they ultimately get their wish they will be the ones hyperventilating over their 70% or higher tax bracket.Almost worth wishing for.
W/Bono, Pete Townsend...
I went lookin' for the Buddha, and I found Jesus Christ...
Very cool — I didn’t realize that was GE Smith.
Jagger one of us? The stones visited Dukakis after he got his buttt kicked by the elder Bush in 88’. Let’s knot kidd ourselves.

i’m not a defeatest but really, they are using the same tactics now as obamacare..rushing through an unread bill. maybe, just maybe, now that we know about the nsa, they are using the j edgar hoover tactic “sir, we are going to find out who is saying someone saw you with that 17 year old, etc”
it worked before. in light of that, let me look on the bright side.
I dont think its 35 million, that’s 10 per cent of the population, doesn’t seem right.
a lot of illegals are voting anyway.
they still have to get them to the pols.
whether we like it or not, the age of the Christian white male is over, so maybe people like cruz and Rubio can pick up a lot of those votes.
“always look on the bright side of life”
(eric idle, for those who don’t know)
He was married to Gilda about that time IIRC.
“The current crop of SNL players cannot hold a candle to the originals.”
Far as I’m concerned they were the real SNL and the ONLY SNL.
Ha! Great stuff.
I wonder who was booed louder, Obama or Gary Bettman at the Stanley Cup presentation?
And John Lennon liked Ronald Reagan.
Maybe that’s why Yoko hired Chapman.
(I have no proof, just a theory of mine)
That’s “One Hit to the Body.”
