Etymology: c.1400, from L. Myrmidones (pl.), from Gk. Myrmidones, Thessalian tribe led by Achilles to the Trojan War, fabled to have been ants changed into men, from Gk. myrmex "ant." Transferred sense of "faithful follower" is from 1610.

MrT5 told me about a CO he had early in his military career-the petty dictator actually referred to the subordinates under his command as his myrmidons, because he could impose any s*** detail he wished on them. He came to a bad end eventually, though...

Yes - he plays a guy who inherits an old truck from an aunt or great aunt.... starts looking into his lineage. Everyone in his life is a nutball and he travels to America and everyone he meets there is crazy but he is so polite and never calls them out.
