I live to sing and dance just to embarrass my children. As I remind them daily, they will have to take care this "viejo verde" in my old age.

"You've gotta dance like there's nobody watching,
Love like you'll never be hurt,
Sing like there's nobody listening,
And live like it's heaven on earth.”

I’d rather have someone from Russia, Cuba or Iran sing it properly than an American like Lady GaGa or Roseanne Barr sing in wrong.

This singer isn't from Russia, Cuba or Iran, but she sings it properly--including the rarely-heard verse and with the refrain's original words ("from the green fields of Virginia to the gold fields out in Nome").

I remember a lot of people were shocked a few years ago when Curtis Granderson chose Ty Cobb as one of the greatest players of all time.

Granderson’s reasoning was sound. He said despite the legendary racism of Cobb, there were simply none better at the game. Granderson then came back to the racism and said that he believed it was more legendary than real in Cobb’s case. He then pointed to several things Cobb had done for blacks like opening the first negro hospital in Atlanta, setting up negro scholarships and mentoring programs.

I like Anna Case's version of the National Anthem.

The anthem was performed by singer Marc Anthony, born in the USA and of Puerto Rican ancestry.

Marc Anthony sang God Bless America during the seventh inning stretch. The National Anthem was sung by Candice Glover.

However, there are some who think God Bless America should have been the national anthem instead of The Star Spangled Banner.

I know liberals who think "We Are the World" should be our national anthem.

This is like when they attcked that young boy who sang the national anthem and wore mariachi clothing because he’s a mariachi singer.

During the NBA finals..I remember when I looked at the avatars of commenters at the vile comments I saw on the web, they were mostly from blacks.

Now, I'm wondering if they were even real comments from real people, or from the government trying to stir things up..I can't believe it's come to this..

There will be race war in this country, and most likely it will be between blacks and latinos.

It’s a good thing there are no Hispanics playing in MLB. That would be Un-American. /s

LOL! Honestly, MLB is like a jobs program for Hispanics from other than the U.S.

I used to think that, just because, historically, in the San Antonio area, there was no love lost between those two ethnic groups. Now I see that La Raza has joined in with the NAACP, and a muslim group to support Eric Holder's witch hunt against George Zimmerman. Plus, yesterday, I heard Joaquin Castro jumping on that bandwagon..I wonder...

This is like when I was in Bosnia-Hercegovina in the 90's. I am watching the Balkanization of my Country.
