So, what are the other students in other universities in upstate NY doing? I don;t see colleges like U of Rochester, SUNY Binghamton or Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute on the list...

<><><><

That’s simple. They were lying about the amount of partying they were doing.

I confess I was surprised not to see Liberty on the sober list,or did I miss it?

The founder went there. Princeton challenged his use of their name, but it was settled out of court. The company is in Massachusetts and isn't connected with the University.

Cleverly, the founder also registered "Kaplan.com" as his internet domain name, when Kaplan was his chief competitor, and there was another settlement about that.

14. Mills College, Oakland, Calif.

Getting drunk leaves you at too high a risk of passing out and getting mugged and/or shot?

We beat out the Semi-holes. Strange how the Gators rank so high in partying, yet they always rank high academically. I guess it’s “work hard, play hard”.

BTW, I take it that you are an electrical engineer. Chem E here.

And to the NSA trolls, FU.

Any idea why three schools in the CUNY family are bunched right in the middle of the sober list?

Is there some factor such as a lot of Orthodox Jewish students who eschew alcohol?

So this is just some charlatan outfit with a fraud name.

Nothing about this “study” is credible. It made the WSJ because it advances the Ivy League superiority meme.

Next.

RE: Any idea why three schools in the CUNY family are bunched right in the middle of the sober list?

The CUNY’s ( e.g. Brooklyn College and City College ) have a lot of students who work part time while attending college (sometimes night school ).

Many are working folks who sometimes already are married.... they just go back to college to improve their chances of getting a better job.

It seems to mostly be party Thursday through Saturday, then dry out on Sunday. I started as a ChemE and switched to electrical engineering. Should I wager that you work for Dupont?

I was surprised myself at the absence of the Blue Zoo.

I work in Princeton and drive through Princeton University every day. There is a small coffee shop on the side street I cut through. On a nice spring or autumn day, the sidewalk tables are full of hippies and commies and the streets are lined with Prius, Coopers, and “Smart” cars with Obama Biden stickers. I roll through in my 7 Series B-L-A-R-I-N-G Glen Beck while waiting for the light (yes, I get in a little late-comes with the gray hairs). They ruin my country, I ruin their coffee on a beautiful day. They hate me.

Glad to see my alma mater is still as full of drunks as it when I was there.

“Lots of chicks with nothing else to do (Mills, Simmons, Wellesley, Agnes Scott, Wesleyan in Georgia) = no drinking.”

When you have a sophomore killed in a kiln explosion, you tend to sober up a bit...

I just moved back to Wilmington, DE from UF. I’m looking to get a job in the energy/power sector. Excelon, Delmarva, etc.
