As much as this is a concern, it pales in comparison to the threats we face from abroad.
Obama is going to get us all killed before we have worry about the buildup of his private army here at home.
I saw one of those 30 years ago. Sounds like their numbers have dramatically increased since then.
IMO, they are related. A major attack here and the federal police force will rise up to “keep us safe”.

Sort of like it was coordinated that Obama pay Morsi 8 BILLION dollars to have innocent Egyptians killed near the border with Israel so Hamas could take over that area... Obama is paying a foreign government to put terrorists in control of part of their territory. He is paying the bad guys to be bad guys. Sounds an awful lot like he’s wearing the jersey of the bad guys who want to destroy America and Israel and institute worldwide sharia - as he privately told the Egyptian ambassador in January of 2010.
And Obama’s ally Morsi coordinated the attack on our Benghazi outpost.
And when the US military under Obama’s orders helped in the ouster of Ghadaffi, Ghadaffi’s weapons ended up in the hands of the terrorists in Syria and elsewhere - including over 20,000 Manpads that could each take down a commercial airplane.
This regime is doing so much to create and feed a danger to the American people - literally arming our enemies in Mexico (the drug cartels who are allies of Hamas and Hezbollah and helping them to sneak into our country) and in terrorist organizations all over the globe including sleeper cells within our own country - while at the same time doing so much to gag, handcuff, and enslave like cattle the American people in the name of “safety”.

I’m sorry, I don’t feel sorry for the people in California who voted themselves into government slavery. If the majority of them voted for it, how can you blame it on the cops? Look how many high ranking military men are also capitulating to save their precious military careers.

Of course we are not required to believe these revelations but I do. Looking around at mankind, it seems to me we are getting worse instead of better.
Not in my county! Our sheriff spoke at a TEA Party rally and said he supported the Constitution and the 2nd Amendment and there would be No Confiscation of weapons as long as he was the sheriff.
I suppose we will actually see when he is ordered to do so.
