At least one of them was completely white. My problem with this story is that a few miles away in Jersey City, the news here was all abuzz a few months ago about a black student running for student president of a Catholic high school receiving racist texts. It was just discovered to be a hoax (he sent them to himself), and the low-info voter news outlets (TV) haven’t even mentioned it/amended their story. He has left the school, no word if he will be prosecuted, the standard routine for bogus hate crimes, but this was Big News when it originally happened.
After giving us daily warnings about black rapists on the loose in NYC, the local and national media just wanted to have a Good Black People story (and I’m glad these college students did the right thing, but many would have the same expectations if they were all white).
Maybe not bitter, but fully aware would be a better attitude.
Think about the ares of many cities that are so dangerous to nonresidents even the police go in pairs.
And certainly in the past 250 years this nation has gone from overwhelmingly rural to overwhelmingly urban.
The concentration of people and resources make possible most of the advances in just about everything by allowing specialization.That is the good side. But then crowded rats go crazy more often then not ,according to studies. There is likely some optimum size community where everyone has enough personal space and all desirable services are easily available.
End immigration.
Somebody did the right thing. Too bad that is news.
