Really?.....hmmm.....
The big reason Walt’s stuff is so much better is he cooks (and has taught Jesse to cook) like a professional chemist not like a meth head. Remember their first cook when Jesse wanted to do the boiling in the big beaker and Walt was all “no, that’s for mixing, the boiling flask is for boiling” and Jesse gave him the eye roll. Then when Jesse was teaching somebody else (I forget who) he gave the exact same lecture. Todd and company don’t have the professionalism, they’re a little better than the guys with the underground lab but they still had the temperature too high and cooked the blue out. I’m not sure Jesse will be taking much pride in his work currently, so he probably won’t be doing much teaching.
I am always impressed with endeavors that involve so much attention to detail. They require a great deal of thought and effort. It is hard work.
I enjoy Pixar films for the same reason; what is in front of the viewer is excellent, but there is always more. A minor example: Doug at the end of "Up"; "Gray one!". And the emotions captured in the typical Pixar film are phenomenal. I defy any normal adult not to be touched by the opening (wordless) montage also in "Up".
In like manner, the writing and acting in BB is at a very high level. How many other shows would have included "a chess scene"?
The soulless nature of Todd and his uncle is scary. Even scarier is the reality that there are plenty of actual people like them.
He knew what he did wrong, which is a good sign, but he lacked the professionalism to do it right the first time. He’s definitely smart, and he seems to want to do things right, but in a long cook process it takes more than want to.
People that live on that side of the law get scary. There’s a reason Saul refers to most of the people he sends Walt to as people he’d rather not know.
1. We now know why and who Walt is going after with the machine gun.
2. Walt will take out Jack and those guys on their turf. Probably under the guise they are meeting with Lydia.
Walt will take out Lydia with ricin in the tea.
3. Marie goes nuts, something may happen between her and Skylar and her trying to take the kids away again.
4. Jesse will in the attack that Walt unleashes, go after Todd.
Once Todd and the crew are dead by walt and jesse, sort of working together, they then see each other and take each other out. This is the only Breaking Bad ending that makes sense.
5. Walt takes full blame (with the police listening in) to clear Skyler. She is aware of what he is doing. Walt totally threw the police off of Skylar. That also allows the recording confession he made to be plausible as he’s a guy under huge stress at that point, as he technically didn’t contradict anything on the confession.
6. Episode ends with Walt getting in that van. Regrouping for a few months to unpredictably come back and finish the job. Which is why his neighbor is so freaked out to see him.
They’re starting the whole BB series over on AMC later on this month.
Read that the baby saying ‘Mama’ wasn’t in the script .
I believe it. That’s what makes it so endearing and sad....she really did want her Mama. Walt kissed her just like a daddy would have, too. He’s such a great actor.
Yes, very touching scene with the baby.
He’s a wonderful actor, and so are ‘Hank’ and ‘Skyler’.
(The actor who plays Hank has a new show, ‘Under The Dome’. Haven’t been able to get into this show yet. Marie is in ‘The Michael Fox show..something I wouldn’t watch anyway)
I’ll be lost when BB ends. (sigh)
That last episode would have made a pretty good ending; Hank gets Skyler off and Saul sends his man to deliver Hank into a new life with his millions.
I watch live trials sometimes. It’s as good as BB...sometimes better! haha
