When it’s time to shut them in the kitchen for the night or apply the dreaded flea medicine, cats can have an uncanny knack of disappearing from view.

These moggies show the extreme measures taken to avoid detection…. although their hiding skills appear to require a little work. These hilarious pictures show cats like a game of hide and seek as much as children - just that sometimes they are not very good at it!nnThese snaps show how their attempts to conceal themselves great hiding places doesn't always go to plan...In each image these amusing pets make the job of the finder a little bit too easy with a range of bodyparts sticking out.nnSome use bags and boxes but are easily spotted by those with a camera.nnOne uses a curtain to poor effect as it is see through, while another hides under a bed sheet but is clearly visible...In another amusing snap a cat leaves its head sticking out of a pot.nnThe pictures were uploaded by website The Chive.nn**MANDATORY CREDIT LONDON MEDIA**n©London Media Press Ltdn11a Printing House YardnLondon E2 7PRn0207 613 2548nn *** Local Caption *** ALL MATERIAL MUST BE CREDITED "LONDON MEDIA". 100% SURCHARGE IF NOT CREDITEDSpot the cat: A cupboard is used as a hiding place (Picture: London Media)

One cat, peering nervously through a slit, is all too visible after sliding inside a see-through box – while another is effectively concealed but must surely be a little chilly at the back of a fridge.

A moggy hidden in a pool table pocket will have to hope their owner is a poor shot. And the cat secreted behind the kitchen cupboards has undone its good work by poking its head out to check if the coast is clear. 100% SURCHARGE IF NOT CREDITEDBoo: Can you spot the moggy in the fridge? Now, how did that kitten figure out how to open refrigerator doors? Hopefully it won’t find the freezer section and disguise itself as a furry popsickle.

We were clipping the pets’ nails one day, and the tricky cat hid in plain view on a shelf full of stuffed animals. Took a while to figure that one out!

We have a rule for clipping nails in our house... We go from smart to stupid. We were telling our dog’s breeder about this, and she thought that meant the dog went first. We did not have the heart to tell her that the dog goes last.
