Posted on 10/03/2013 10:54:47 AM PDT by Redleg Duke
I just got an email from DFAS advising me that my retirement pay from the US Army would not be delayed due to the shutdown as the source of the funds is not from the CRA.
Thank you for letting us know.
What shut down?
Many thanks for passing that along.
Thanks for your service, too, although you would have done it with no expectation of thanks.
Also Army retired.
Veterans retirement funds are one thing we don’t want affected. Without them we would be speaking another language.
Maybe next Obama speech ,today’s speech he talks about Social Security checks
Thank you fellow Redleg.
He’ll double down and hint that military pay, retirement pay, and VA benefits are next.
My dad’s bank told my mom this morning that his USAF retired pay had not been deposited. Appears to have been an error, but goes to show the sensitivity of the topic. And curious timing...
I’ll be interested to see whether my last three IDTs of last FY (end of September) get paid in a timely manner...
I got mine too. I am worried though about my disability check, but still want the REPs to fight on and play hard ball with a mission. I am unselfish like that.
My retirement check and VA check was posted on the 1st of Oct. Got a call from the VA this morning about my appointment next Tues. It’s my yearly visit, I did not know they were open.
Thanks for the ping.
