Continued prayers, all of us together, God will hear.
Thank you so much! I was a little discouraged earlier, but the delay is a sign to me that we need to have a lot of patience and take things more slowly. So while we were sitting here, they turned off the meds keeping Mikey sedated so they could check his responses to commands. He has given us some thumbs up, hand squeezes, and a slight opening of one eye. His eyes are pretty crusted over in addition to being swollen so the slight eye opening was a big deal to us. Really! God is in control of this time table, and we will have to follow. :).
When hubby and I were driving back to the hospital this morning, one of my favorite songs came up on my playlist. I can’t cut and paste a link here, but you can find it on YouTube. It’s MercyMe’s Jesus Bring the Rain. The end of the song is so beautiful.
You’re going through a very trying time and it’s easy to get discouraged but your son’s responses had to bring you joy! Each day should bring improvement and God is hearing our prayers.

And we can’t forget Jim needs prayer for a total healing from his leg surgery. May HE who can do all things, provide Jim with the means to get around (mobility) in the near future.
Femur surgery took place today and was a success according to the doctors. All is as good as can be at the moment. Thanks to everyone for the prayers. Most of all, Praise God for answered prayers! This is still going to be a long road to recovery, but things are looking great! It is wonderful to see God working right before your eyes. Indescribable.
