ROSEVILLE, Mich. (WJBK) - A mother-daughter costume at Huron Park Elementary's 'Trunk or Treat' Thursday night caused some backlash from other parents. The two wore a black sweatshirt, white trash bags and labels reading 'White Trash.'
"I was a little appalled. To me, how can you dress yourself and your child in a white trash outfit?" asks Roseville parent Nicole Ekmeian.

Oh no. I worked at a trunk or treat thing yestarday and I wore a black hoodie. Am I a racist or was I wearing a black hoodie on a cold night to keep warm?

The article states the school is known as being white trash. The mother and daughter are white and didn’t waste money on costumes. I fail to understand the problem. People go out of their way to make up offendedness. I think I’ll wear a placard with “I’m offended that you’re offended” for Halloween.
Did you have on the “white trash” bag, too?
This isn’t about that at all:
1. U can’t slur blacks
2. Blacks can slur each other loudly all day

My brother won first prize for a similar costume he wore about 4 years ago, of course the party wasn’t attended by the constantly offended.
Halloween has become National White Trash Day for better or for worse. This woman and her daughter are illustrating the obvious. If anyone thinks we can celebrate Halloween in good taste, he's [or am I supposed to say they're] too worried about nonsense.
