But Mr. Damon is a leftist, therefor he’s a genius in his own eyes.
Al Gore was an ardent supporter of the NEA and public schools and against “school choice”. None of his children ever attended anything other than expensive private schools.
Screw you, Damon. You started it when you brought up the Bush family. Now we will finish it.
What’s a “Jeb”?
“”Well, because I, you know, because I want the public schools to, if they were, if they went back to, if I could find my, the private school that I send my kids to is the thing closest to the public school that I went to that I could find. And thats why I send my kids to private school. I wish I didn’t have to, its expensive, and I also want my kids to be part of a, you know, their local community, you know, and not have to commute to somewhere else to go to school.””
HUH? Like his hero, he can’t talk without a script??????
Once again, a lib completely misses the point. Dense.
Why don’t you just eat it anyway, Matty.
The reason he does so is because NYC's public school population is 70% black and Hispanic. Without tracking, his kids will learn at the rate of the slowest students in class. That's what "gifted" programs are all about - it's a way of providing a limited form of tracking without implementing the full-blown thing. Mozart was gifted. Newton was gifted. Any given valedictorian in a school, public or not, is not the kind of 1 in a billion talent that Mozart and Newton were.
Laura Welch went to Bowie Elementary, San Jacinto Jr High and Lee High School—— I’m thinking class of 65 but am not sure. had cousins that went to school with her— apparently she was pretty nice I gather.
She went to SMU and UT Austin and I think she worked as a librarian for MISD in the late 70s before the girls were born.
I await correction.
What about Obama?
Madrassa in Indonesia
Punahou Prep School in Hawaii
Occidental College
Columbia City College (allegedly)
Harvard Law School
Lots of plebeian institutions in that list.
Ditto.
