I am confused at which is worse — being 20 and playing a video game or using a battle ax on a fellow child-adult.

If all it required was stitches then it wasn’t a real battle ax and he didn’t have much of a swing. Apparently hefting an actual weapon takes more strength than pushing the X+A+down buttons at the same time.

So much for the PS4 "Perfect Day" commercial.

Official PlayStation 4 Perfect Day Commercial

So, when will the left beg for battle axe control?

Terroristic Threats

That seems to be the authorities favorite new "throw away" charge. It isn't bad enough he chopped somebody with an axe...but GASP...he made TERRORISTIC THREATS while doing it.

FYI this was in Lincoln, Nebraska.

Here's the New York Daily News article which also calls it a medieval ax then shows a picture of a halbert.

I assume he just grapped the nearest battle axe he could find. My place is littered with them. It seems every Christmas someone gets me a battle axe, a broad sword, a bladed mace, etc. The cat o’ nine tails last year was the last straw. I had to send letters out saying “Please no more medieval weapons. I’m running out of space for them and I can hardly even lift a few. Something like a fruit cake would be just fine instead”.

Law enforcement has to diminish the meaning of the term “terrorist” to suggest that “everybody does it”. No profiling of Islamic jihadists, plz.

It just occurred to me that the perp was referred to as a “teen” in the article title...

Maybe it was a real axe wieldied by really skinny arms. A stringent video game regemine doesn’t tend to develop upper body strength.

Never mind that. I hate how “terrorism” is being applied to every common crime and maybe some not so common and nasty crimes. None of which falls under the true definition of terrorism. Dumbing down everything these days trying to make federal cases out of all.

My husband has bought me bastard swords, katanas, and the like for Christmas but no battle axe yet... there’s always this year...

Sort of awkward to carry around in public, I would think. But I suppose you’d be given a wide comfort zone while carrying a 10 foot battle lance.
