Kyle Orton is more than capable. I remember a couple of years ago, he stepped in for the Chiefs, and helped beat an unbeaten Packers team and Aaron Rodgers. Those years are a blurr to me, lol, but I do remember that nice win.

Chargers smack down the Chiefs (28-23)

If that is a Charger smack down when the Chiefs will rest their starters after about a one or two series (nothing to gain or lose seeding wise) you may have problems if you make the playoffs.

It's possible. Chargers won in KC on Nov. 24. I doubt if KC want's to end the year with 2 losses and SD taking the 2 games during the season.

In fact, if the Chiefs lost this last game vs. SD, it would not mean just finishing with 2 straight losses, it would also mean in the final 7 games, KC would be 2-5.

It’s a tall order for the Jets to win in Miami but you never knew, Miami had everything to play for vs. Buffalo and could not even get a point.

Listened to some sports radio today, they were saying if the Cards were AFC, they’d be one of the better teams. Kind of a shame if they miss the playoffs but it won’t be the first time a team with 10 wins misses the playoffs. Unfortunately, I don’t see the Saints losing to Tampa bay.

Looks like the chances of the Cards making the playoffs are between Slim and None and it looks like Slim has left town.

And that’s why they play the games, famously, one year probably in the ‘80s or ‘90s, the Broncos let their foot off the pedal, lost their last game, the odds were against them but the games fell right that if they had won, they would have made the playoffs. Dan Reeves would tell that story.

peeples may not be aware that there is:
a 1:00 pm doubleheader (Fox and CBS)
a 4:00 pm doubleheader (Fox and CBS)

so an extra game.
One of the games in the Northeast is NYG vs WASH ... so really only 3 of those games worth it ... we get CHI-GB at 4pm, looks like the whole country gets it, almost whole country.

Only 1 double header in the Chi market, usually no other game airs opposite of the home team. My program guide has infomercials airing on CBS. Infomercials!

At noon (1 east) I’m glad to see I get Ravens/Bengals on CBS. Panthers/Falcons on Fox, the only early Fox game with any playoff implications.
