I am not proposing some idiotic system like that.
I am simply saying the teams with the best records make the playoffs.
Simple. Fair. American.
I do not think an opinion-based formula is superior to a fact-based formula in any instance.
Fans deserve to understand whether their team will make the playoffs based on their performance, not on the opinions of others who can reward or punish indiscriminately.
