It’s +7 with gusty winds.
Snow accumuating at a good clip.
Good news is that it will be fluffy and easy to plow.
Bad news is that we are expecting wind chills down to -25.
I think Massachusetts has declared a state of emergency.

I’ve been cleaning off my driveway a little at a time. The thermometer on my deck says 3 degrees and the snow (around 6 inches or so thus far) is light and easy to move. The wind is picking up-—Meredith NH

Wait how is this even possible, when Al Gore wrote in the New York Times 8 years ago that snowy winters in the Northeast were a thing of the past due to climate change?

Halfway up the Maine coast it got up to +5 degrees today. Windy with light snow at the present. Supposed to get the better part of foot overnight.

Deval was just on the air asking private businesses to close tomorrow. He’s already closed state offices.

I live in S.Jersey (Atlantic County). It began to snow about 45 minutes ago, according to weather channel it is not suppose to begin snowing until 8 PM.
I have my car as close to the road as I dare, enough to avoid the snow plows.
Just get a call that school has been cancelled for tomorrow.

It’s looking pretty bad for me here in CA too. It’s supposed to get all the way down to 68 degrees.

The NHL Winter Classic outdoor hockey game went off just fine in the middle of a snowstorm. At least half of the 100,000 fans attending drove over from Canada.
New Englanders and Upstate New Yorkers used to be made of sterner stuff.
Break out the one piece nighties and camp out in your mom's basement until it blows over.

Here in Rockland County NY, it's only just starting to get series.
I busted butt and put in a transfer switch this summer, wired to an outside outlet.
Also built a new shed. The remaining wire is now a lead cord that will reach from the shelter of the shed to the plug !
The Generac is gassed and ready.

The school district cancelled all evening activities, so no recreation b’ball this evening. And the snow has barely started here at the Jersey Shore.
