Since I’m dragging a mob of children around the state, I figure the least I can do for the general public is look tidy ;-).

"I think those super high platform heels are manufactured for strippers and drag queens. If you notice they’re often in pretty big sizes."

That used to be their niche, but the look has overtaken mass-market pumps...the things are everywhere now.

Kimberly Guilfoyle wears them on "The Five." I love nice pumps, but those things are too extreme for my taste.

The retro look with the high-waisted shorts is awesome. Two thumbs up.

Baseball cap, no makeup, mens’ shirt and jacket with Levi’s 501s or sweatpants and athletic shoes has always been my standard uniform when I don’t want to be noticed. A nice flattening athletic bra also helps.

Hey some of us notice ladies like that. Especially if they have a ponytail. It just screams low-maintenance and fun-loving.

as a hot female I must call BS on this. If you are hot and a man sees you and he is free to hit on you (not with wife/girlfriend and you are not with husband/boyfriend and he is feelin' you--he's gonna hit on you. simple.

I think she speaks the truth here. The whole world caters to the whims of pretty young women.

Some of the clothing that Muslim women wear makes since if you are living somewhere like the Middle East. Climate dictates what one wears. Besides that, some of it is similar to what Our Lady would have worn. (I am not talking about the full burka deal)

“What sort of men are being asked these questions, and what sort of men are in a position to answer them?”

See post #7 - ‘If you want to be left alone, hang out at a gay bar (with the Huffington Post “male fashion geniuses” who opined in the piece).’

Neither am I! A simple long dress is practical in most climates - just throw on additional layers as it gets colder - and offers plenty of options for looking pretty, too.

It's kind of funny that we're looking at pictures of Korean girls dressed like 50s American highschoolers, not that they aren't cute, because I think traditional Korean dresses are the most beautiful and flattering in the world.

I think you’re correct. I remember reading something like that years ago.

Good to know! Sweats or jeans, ballcap, ponytail and not much make-up is my standard wear for running errands on the weekend. :-)

I suspect that’s true about a lot of areas and malls in the Greater Seattle area. I personally HAVE to watch the game, especially today - - can hardly wait. Sure hope the Hawks win today. Weather is miserable at my place (Cascade foothils) right now and has been so for a few hours - very windy and raining (earlier the rain was really pounding).

As you probably saw, there are flood warnings and high wind warnings for today. One site I was looking at predicted thunderstorms possible throughout the day. I’m glad I sold my ticket to the game - will watch from the comfort of my warm house and comfy sofa (sure hope the electricity doesn’t go out).

Go Hawks!

As long as the sweatpants are somewhat fitted, they can look great; or yoga pants.
