Watch Delightful Iguana at Puerto Rico Open Attempt to Eat Andrew Loupe's Ball

According to a picky iguana roaming the greens at the 2014 Puerto Rico Open, Andrew Loupe's golf ball, as interesting as it may be, isn't all that delicious.

Next Impulse Sports' Kiley Kmiec spotted this rather hilarious video posted to the PGA's YouTube page. It features a curious iguana moving Loupe's ball before scurrying off, as iguanas are wont to do.

As for details, the YouTube description states, the moment comes as Loupe played through the 16th hole over the weekend.

As the announcer mentions, this isn't the first time an animal tried to pull some shenanigans at a tour event: "We see the seagull at TPC—Steve Lowery 1998 seagull at 17—picked up the ball, tried to fly off, dropped it right in the lake."

Thanks to the Internet, we can relive that moment now:

As for Loupe, Yahoo! Sports' Shane Bacon helps us out with a bit more information: "Loupe would go on to make par on the 16th, post a final round 69 and finish T-12 at the other PGA Tour event that went down this weekend."

This iguana wasn't alone in a weekend ball-snatching endeavor. Golf Channel spotted the following video of whom they describe as a "fan" picking up Luke Donald's ball during Friday's round at Doral:

The fan didn't get away with snatching a free souvenir off the course, but the upside is Donald reportedly dropped without penalty.

Let this all be a lesson that golf balls should be left alone, because you never know who will be walking down the course to claim it.

This goes for all fans, human or otherwise.

Admit it. How man of you pulled that youtube up expecting to see ‘something else’? And yes, it was cute. No balls were harmed in making this video.

We rented an ocean front house in north PR for a week two years ago.
Big green lizards were regular visitors to the grill in our back yard.

Pretty place. Very druggie...

We have been to Las Hades in Manzanillo Mexico many times. They have some kind of iguana island there and the suckers are everywhere and darn near tame. They invade the pool area and lay under the lounge chairs to get out of the sun. I fell asleep and woke up to a scuffle under my chair. I jumped and ran when there was a huge one and a couple of smaller ones scuffling around under there. They pay absolutely no attention to the humans as it is required for you to move out of their way. Lol
