This Southern California lawyer needs an attorney.
A Los Angeles public defender was arrested after she caused a "drunken ruckus" that included bites, kicks and a demand for cocaine at San Francisco International Airport on Tuesday, according to reports.
Monica Marie Jenkins was charged with five misdemeanors, including assault on an officer, by the San Mateo District Attorney, the Examiner is reporting.
Jenkins, 37, who was attempting to fly to Los Angeles, was reportedly so drunk she was not allowed to board her flight, the newspaper reported.

On the way, she threatened to sue cops, sang "Rock Around the Clock," and "did kick another officer" in the midst of an "obscenity-laced tirade," the newspaper reported.
In jail, however, she "tried to bite a nurse."
She's been released on her own recognizance and is scheduled to return to court on July 14

She did all that and then was released on her own recognizance. LOL. No tazing, either. And given an option to not go to jail, but just go sober up. Okay, I’m laughing now.
How about we do an experiment. Someone get drunk off their ass, go to the SF airport, assault officers, bites, scratch, kick - and see what happens.
“Why are you pointing that tazer at me, officer? Aren’t you going to give me the option of leaving and sobering up first? What do you mean, ten thousand dollar bail? What about my own recognizance? Ow, why are you beating me with that nightstick? Ow, ow, ow!”

If I was some poor bum in the LA County lockup who was unsuccessfully defended by this chick, I’d be filing an appeal that my state-appointed counsel was incompetent.
