Is there anyone here who thinks this is the first time these people ever committed a crime?
Most serious crime is done by a relatively small number of chronic criminals.

If the mayor had any pull he would shame the newspapers for leaving out important details.

Can we outsource their incarceration to China? China seems to be able to make that work.

yes, I think this was the very first time these kids were doing something wrong. And I expect their mommas to come out and tell us they are good boys.

On the subject of chronic offenders, I came across a
Minnesota study that had 5 percent of offenders being responsible for 37 percent of the felonies.

I bet they are all living in homes where there is no "dad," least of all THEIR dad.
Just a guess.Fatherless boys are the scourge of our society.
Remember "Murphy Brown"? In her life fathers were totally unnecessary.

I miss the fairly good Charlotte of the 80s and mid 90s. Grew up just south of there.

Most serious crime is done by a relatively small demographic of chronic criminals. Even within the demographic, most of the crime is committed by a relatively small number of chronic criminals. Put THOSE away for a few decades (or kill them) and the crime rate will go down.

Even within the demographic, most of the crime is committed by a relatively small number of chronic criminals.Unfortunately PapaBear, the percentage of chronic criminals in the demographic is exceedingly high in urban areas. That goes from smaller cities all the way up. Just reading the stats makes a person want to go buy more 'precious metals'.

Unfortunately PapaBear, the percentage of chronic criminals in the demographic is exceedingly high in urban areas. Oh, yeah. Given that one in eight black men are convicted felons, and that those felons or mostly from the underclass, if you see an underclass black male, he's got a high likelihood of being a criminal.
