Lego is a tool of Satan, warns Polish priest

A Polish priest has warned parents to be on their guard against Lego, warning the plastic blocks are a tool of Satan and can "destroy" children's souls.

In a presentation aimed at parents, Father Slawomir Kostrzewa said the popular Danish toy company had taken a lurch to the dark side with its series of Monster Fighters and Zombie mini-figures, and that they "were about darkness and the world of death".

"Friendly fellows have been replaced by dark monsters," he explained. "These toys can have a negative effect on children. They can destroy their souls and lead them to the dark side."

fwiw, I was in a mall today (a tues. afternoon) and there were approx. 50 kids lined up waiting at the Lego store. The stores have free periods when kids can build with all the products. The kids were sitting in lawn chairs, and except for one squirrel being sacrificed, everything seemed normal.

lego has various themes they have done currently, and in the past. some they have had license agreements to do - ie star wars, harry potter, indiana jones, batman,...

their own themes like space, castle, town, ninja’and others they came up with on their own.

they have never done a war theme and say they won’t ever do one.

faces got more detailed when they started doing star wars sets. body colors also changed from yellow to a flesh color and also brown for black figures.

Title is a bit misleading, he didn’t say Lego’s in and of themselves are Evil, just certain kits made by Lego.
