Obamacare will be dead when people don’t pay the penalty.

Obamacare will be dead when people don’t pay the penalty.

How will that happen? Do people not have jobs and bank accounts?

I am a skeptic. I do not think SCOTUS will rule in favor of the Constitution, conscience and Hobby Lobby.

I hope I’m wrong.

The question is, if the Supreme Court rules against Hobby Lobby, are our liberties dead, and, most importantly, what are we going to do about it?

I believe you are going to be correct. Getting hard to find an unshredded piece of the Constitution. Or people that give a damn.

No

Just allows these groups to exempt themselves. It doesn’t help them of course, but I think the doctors will decide this law. And a lot of them are retiring or going fully private for cash payments.

The ultimate goal is to have 100% affirmative action doctors.

You'll be better off operating on yourself than going to one of them.

You make the mistake in thinking that this law is "settled" and static, when IT IS STILL BEING WRITTEN, and will morph to a point where doctors MUST comply with every whim of the government, or lose their licenses to practice.

this is no exaggeration.

Now that it’s here, it will never be dead. That’s why Dems were in such a damn hurry to give it to us, and why Repubs have only half-heartedly fought it — it means generations of “an issue” to fight over, tweak, and pretend to fix, all the while just scraping enough votes to get them to the next election, when they can do it all over again. Just like Social Security and “the debt.”

I don’t trust this court to rule righteously on this debacle called 0bamacare at all.

Try to understand the Catholic perspective. Catholics have rightly held that the Obama administration is guilty of vile anti Catholic bigotry. It knew exactly what it was doing when it passed administrative rules that would force Catholics to violate their deeply held religious beliefs by funding the use of abortion inducing drugs. Otherwise as a matter of conscience they would have to close institutions that are a part of their religious expression i.e. health care, social services, education. The Supreme Court Justices who would vote to uphold these regulations would forever be known as anti Catholic bigots. If they decide in favor of the non Catholic Hobby Lobby case, then the appellate courts should find the anti Catholic rules unconstitutional. It would spare the Justices the bigot label.

What happens if they rule against The Little Sisters of the Poor? If the nuns dont comply and I believe they won’t are they going to send in armed agents to sieze assets anxd evict the elderly? I don’t think Obama and Jarrett have considered the blowback on such an Atlas Shrugged event.
