I like it. It’s holding up well so far, but my husband assembled it. :)

The lettuce is beautiful. I think I’ll come live with you as I don’t think I’ll ever have such fine lettuce and I remember a picture of tomatoes you put on here a short time ago, and they are so much better than the first four I planted.

Lol, yeah, all those "throw away" plants they stick out on the side walk have done pretty well.

Something I do see here all the time, and I think of you when I see them..is 1 gallon and three gallon plastic nursery pots..I don't know if they get blown to the sides of the streets or what, but you could get all you need for free just driving around here for about twenty minutes.

I have three broccoli plants in a large container and something is eating it even though it's under net. I sprayed them thoroughly this morning, including under the leaves, with organic Garden Safe Fungicide 3, which is mainly Neem oil. It says,
1. “Fungicide: controls black spot, rust, and powdery mildew.”
2. “Insecticide: controls aphids, whiteflies, and other listed insect pests.” (many listed but print is light green and too small to read well)
3, Miticide: controls spider mites

I don't know much about safe “poisons” for plants but I do know Neem oil is okay.

Cilantro revisited - again:
I have planted Cilantro seed. Had a ceramic (plain, not glazed), pot of about one gallon with saucer with it and decent surface area. It had some kind of potting soil in it as I saw vermiculite bits in there. It’s been sitting in a corner of the covered deck for several years. I stirred that up, wet it completely down to get water through it, stuck a couple of Jobe’s spikes down in it and topped it with an inch or so of new potting soil mix.

Went by directions and planted seed 1/2 inch deep over the top. Put the pot close to roof so it will stay in shade most of the day. I’m not giving up on Cilantro. So, added a pot, at least 112 containers out there now.

After shade sets in later today will transplant several Tromboncino squash into big pots.
