The Hollies are largely forgotten today but produced some of the best music of the 60s.

They are one of the few British pop groups of the early 1960s that have never officially broken up and continue to record and perform..

A song about old-fashioned love and courtship, “under my umbrella...”

They don’t write songs like that anymore, do they?

All the good song-writers are either dead or retired. Besides, today's "musicians" would not recognize harmony and melody if it came up and kicked them in the butt.

Sorry to disagree but you really should start listening to C&W. Best music going these days.

Quite welcome. The sub-woofer on the floor under the desk unties my shoelaces with that song. (grin)

Ha! That’s great. Brings back some memories for sure.

Here’s a crazy song by Beck but I just love the beat and the guitar work:

Can’t agree with you at all. Modern C&W is like bad pop music with a twang. Just awful! Where’s the REAL C&W?????!!!!!!!!!!!

There has been some great movie music. Last of The Mohicans soundtrack is outstanding. I get so caught up in the music...I forget to watch the movie.

Bus Stop is a great Hollies song.

But this is my personal fav...
