Beck requesting nonviolence

Well, I will do it if no one else will. Beck is imploring us to drop the hate and anger.

First, I don't believe it was anger in my heart that made me want to rush to Bundy's side upon learning SWAT teams were terrorizing him and his family. I do believe it was love for my grandchildren and their posterity than made me consider putting my life on the line.

I do believe that nonviolence requires several things to work. Ghandi knew his "audience" was the folks back in England who would find violence against him and his abhorrent. MLK knew the Christians of America in the early 60s would see the tactics of the Bull Conners abhorrent. Certainly, my parents did. So AN HONEST MEDIA is the first requirement of non violent resistance. Second, an authority that will respond to the passions stirred by that honest media. Anybody wanna place their grandchildren's lives in the hands of this regime?

I don't know which media Beck thinks will fulfill the first requirement. I know this is what he is trying to do with The Blaze I I love him for it. I pray for his success daily. I doubt his effort has enough momentum to carry this freight. As to the second requirement, see above. Would you trust the folks in DC with your grandchildren?

Our Saviour asked us to "be wise as serpents and harmless as doves". He asked us to love our enemies. At the same time allowing murder and corruption to continue is "conspiring to commit murder and corruption".

If I could be convinced there was a chance for nonviolent resistance to prevent another Waco or Ruby Ridge I would be all for it. At the same time I will not see another Waco and do nothing.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts. Agreed that it will probably take generations to un wind what has been done but the tide has to turn now and the gummint needs to know that if it resists the tide it will spark violence. “Our Masters” need to have no doubt about this. They can play all the Alinskyite race cards and whatever else but they need to be aware we are here and there will be thousands (or more) who “have not bent a knee to Baal”.

I agree. Nothing short of a Divine shakeup will get us truly back on course.

I also think part, not all, of Beck's reasoning here is that he feels violence is inevitable---and wants to be on the record for the nonviolent approach before it happens; as we know anyone in the media to the right of NPR will get some blame.

You are one sick puppy. Out of hate and your need to belittle, you choose to read and believe what you want. The traits of a true liberal. What I said was if something is started by either side. We had all be prepared to fight to the end. We ate sitting on more than one powder keg and when that spark lands, all hell is going to break lose. I hope and pray for a solution other than that, but an more than willing to lose all that I am including my life, defending the Constitution and the fine country in which it stands.

I believe an apology is in order. Are you man enough to give it?

Violence had already been laid on some protesters and Bundy’s cattle.

More one side violence would have been administered by the BLM
had patriots not showed up to defend Bundy.

It was already a powder keg before Patriots showed up

All I can say is GO and retaliate. Put your action where your mouth is and show all that you REALLY mean what you say. I will stand beside you if all he’ll breaks loose because of your action.
