They were not University of Alabama fishermen. Why would Saban be involved?

Because barners have a little sister mentality and are obsessed with what they think their imagined big brother is doing.

that my friend is someone I want on my team - resourceful creative and doesn’t give a damn what people think about it....and chances are he’s catching fish....the only thing I’d add is some type of bimini top to shade the sun

Yes, and it happens in saltwater tourneys as well.
A few years back we had some guys bring in to the weigh in really big fish. They had caught them and frozen them previous to the tourney.....................

When I was a kid in NYC I went on one of the party boats out of Sheepshead Bay. They were fishing for flounder out by Kennedy Airport.

When it was time to see who had the biggest fish (pool was around 50 bucks) this old guy had a flounder that looked like every other flounder, but was almost a pound heavier.

Turns out the guy stuffed the fish with sinkers. As we were pulling into the dock, somehow the guy fell over the rail and into the bay. And to this day I can’t figure out how his tackle box, fishing poles and cooler also accidentally fell in.

I don’t know if Nick was involved. I am merely an observor here in Chattanooga Tn. Personally I am a Vol fan. The local sport talk show talked about if for 1/2 an hr. The consensus was that they were probably Bama fans. They think that because they win a few football championships, they also can dominate the bass fishing championships. Some of the smarter Bama fans said that you never cheat 6 times in a row on bass fishing tournaments. After a coupla wins sit back and chill out for awhile. I do find these ethics violations shocking in the fishing world. Never has a fisherman violated a code of ethics so egregiously.

Believe me, if it’s a sport, somebody is cheating.

Have seen that happen with several local tournaments.
Was lots of fun, they attracted more and more people, cash prizes became bigger and then a few a-holes started cheating.
