Who is Colin Campbell? Wasn’t this just recently debunked?

I’ve been eating this way for years. A Whole food plant based diet has been shown to be the best thing for human beings.

I’ve known dedicated vegetarians who are quite capable of making delicious meals while avoiding animal products entirely, but even they admit that it is very hard work and that getting the correct proteins, amino acids, etc. into their diet is a challenge in the absence of meat.

I’ve benefitted from greatly reducing carbs and favoring animal fat over vegetable oils. Everything in moderation. Anyone who absolutely insists that this or that diet is the only correct way to go for everybody is trying to sell something.

Are you trying to sell something?

explains why whole plant based foods are healthy

And where do you get your B vitamins?

Plants are fine. Grains will kill you.

I would prefer paleo, but Campbell looks great for an 80 year old man. Personally, I would rather die younger than go vegetarian.

Since humans are OMNIVORES you are clueless. Even God himself allows for the eating of animal flesh.

Enjoy your NY life style

Look lets keep in simple..

There are herbivores, carnivores and omnivores..

What have humans be for most of thier history that man has been a “man”?

Hint..Your don’t need weapon to hunt and kill a plant, you don’t need fire to cook a plant, and you don’t need sharp stone knives to skin a plant to wear it as clothing..

Meat eating goes hand in hand with going from a grazing animal, to a weapon caring, fire making, tool using, clothing wearing, man..

It just works out that way

If we had all stay herbivores, we could of all stayed naked, sitting in a tree, eating a banana, and flinging our poop and each other

You know, I’ve tried many different diets since I turned about 40 and I’ve had plenty of health problem over the last few years. So when my wife’s dr asked her to read DR Neal Barnard’s Reversing Diabetes. She lost 35 lbs and is off her meds. I’ve been eating this way for a while and i like it. I tried Atkins just before this and got sick of eating that way. I realize that most people will be resistant to this idea because of cultural programing. But too much protein is what is making us fat and sick. I’ve been around for 65 years now and I am appalled at the number of fat people I see walking around who are still quite young. Calorie dense foods are killing us. Animal products make you acidic. It may take decades to kick in but it will make you sick and kill you.

we are omnivores....we developed our large brains through high protein diets...we foraged for vegetables and killed or stole meat(from carnivores).

grain in great quantities like we eat today is not natural...we still have not changed through evolution enough to eat all the grain and gluten we consume...

I’ve done both ways of eating... Was on a fat-free vegan diet for a long time. Health benefits I saw right away... my vision improved, no longer needed the reading glasses I just purchased.
However... in November I started eating a Paleo diet... full swing to the other side. Still eat tons of veggies.. but eat grass fed meat as well, and limited dairy ie grass fed heavy cream and butter. Lost the extra weight I couldnt’ shake from practicing a fat-free vegan diet.. and feel great. No sugar ups and downs at all...
Not sure which is better... it’s probably an individual metabolic issue. Either diet will want you to stay away from processed foods and sugars... which is the stuff that kills you earlier than later.

He’s not advocating a vegetarian diet. It is a Whole food plant based diet. Do you want to live to eat or live to eat? Just how sick do you want to be when you are 60 years old? Keep eating the typical American Diet and you will lucky to escape chronic illness after 55.

(Hmmm...That sound a lot like a 60s hippie love in, an Occupy Wall Street demonstration, or a some Democrat Conventions)

We should probably eat less meat, but not eating any meat is not happening

I love cheese. Losing weight will be hard for me, I love bread too.

If I could get the same satisfaction by eating roots it might be possible.

We’re not talking about eating roots. Potatoes, rice pasta bean soup, bread, kale, spinach, etc. On this diet you can eat as mch as you want. Check out forksoverknives.com
